No they weren't. The Madrid defenders were in the dark green stripe, the Sevilla winger was still on a light green strip of grass. Clear onside IMO.

WTF is Drenthe's position? He goes from centre to right to left and then back in the centre scratch

It seems to me that Madrid's players don't get this diamond system at all. There is no shape to the team whatsoever. It's so difficult for them to find a pass. Schuster and the players have asked for time and patience, well, they'll need a lot of it! Let's hope Calderon is trigger happy Razz

Gol Madrid, Cannavaro at the far post from a Sneijder free kick on the right. Palop's fault, he went for a f@cking walk.

Schuster has sat motionless on his chair the entire half!

I've hardly seen him. And that's not a dig at his height.

I think Drenthe is f@cking up the entire system. He's *everywhere*, trying to win every ball. I don't think I've ever seen anything like his performance today outside of a match in school where you just give the ball to the kid who's really good and he dribbles the whole oppo defense. Except Drenthe is not being given the ball, he's trying to take it Laughing

a positive from this half is that we have found someone to replace becks freekicks. sneijders has made some very good freekicks. allthough i havent seen much of him.
    Kas
i have no idea what system we are playing because it aint 4-4-2 with a diamond. it looks like 4-3-2-1 or something because drenthe is everywhere which actually hasnt been a bad thing since he distributes the ball surprisingly well.but other then that i dont get it because sneijder is in the middle and so is diarra and raul.

i dont think its the diamond system, i think drenthe has been doing real good actually. he's been covering over the other player's position and is takingon players and getting in dangerous situations

    Positives are :

Sneijder is doing good with distributing from free kicks
Drenthe is active and not afraid to get the ball
Pepe has been solid (with the exception of the PK)

    Negatives :

    Raul sucks donkey balls....
The defense is not working together as a unit. i dont think either of them is having a bad game individually but as a back 4 they have been shaky.
Robinho and Sneijder need to see more of the ball they havent done much
