The match was pointless to begin with (we should have gotten the first match in the new Wembley), the timing is horrible, but now with all the injuries on both sides, it's beyond pointless. What to brag about if we beat you? Wow, our B (C, whatever) team beat yours. This is horrible, because neither can I really wind you up if we win, nor can you wind me up if we lose. And unlike our friend shipshap, you are pretty damn good at it.
P.S.: What is wrong with dieing? It's an idiot proof exit strategy.
It is indeed farcical, in actual fact we all used to get along really well at first, but like all local derbies this one has slowly detoriated into a mutual loathing between the Leipzig neighbours and my Hungarian relatives. As I said, its hilarious- the other day Peter (the chap from Leipzig) had a barberque in his backyard right close up in his back garden so all the smoke was pouring over my grandmother's veranda.
Not to be a woman scourned, the very next day the old Matriarch set up a large bonfire as close to his fence as possible and burnt her rubbish in the tete-a-tete retributory act of smoking out their home. The fire service were called when the neighbours one further down thought the house was on fire. Slapstick chaos and carnage.
Yep, the game looks likely to be a tepid affair, however Im hoping with the injection of a few new faces on either side it may well have the opposite effect and make it interesting at least - nothing worse than watching a whole team of first team "stars" barely going through the motions to avoid picking up injuries.
Seems the whole first and second German XI is on the sick list at the moment. Appears you "granite" teutons have come a long way since the heady days of Did Hamman scoring penalties with a broken foot ;-) Is it fear, or is it that the Bundesliga has become a bloodied battlefield overnight? One can only ponder....
