EMP
you are partially right and partially totally wrong
Vogts was not a success in Nigeria because he is too GERMAN and demands things to go his way
he has very little flexibility and probably thought imposing his own style and professionalism was more important than adapting to chaotic and unsuccessful African ways of doing business
ie
a cultural misunderstanding
however, you are WAY OUT LINE disparaging Berti's ability as a coach or understanding of the game
Alex Ferguson knows his football alright
but outside Britain he would be a total flop
as always Pfister gives the best explanation for Berti's lack of success

(in German)
incidentally, Pfister is my new ALL-TIME-HERO
brutally honest and spot on
he just shakes his head at those GERMANS who were celebrating a 3rd place at their HOME-WORLD-CUP implying that Klinsi was a total flop
the man knows his stuff
