Tweedy of course thinks that Giovinco is a useless player with no end product!! Doh Hopefully after tonight, Tweedy would have watched Giovinco for more than 5 minutes on which his judgement is probably based.

His hieght does limit him tho, but he can end up as a quality player like Pirlo if he matures well. His vision and passing skills are amazing for a kid.

Good to see Roma dropping points, now there is less pressure on us in the derby d'italia...

Puro wrote:Giovinco just scored a stunning goal. He just pulled a Ronaldinho against England from WC 2002. What a shot! Such a smart player, fooled EVERYONE! Just like Ronaldinho. Biggrin <Ale>

He has a fantastic shot on him, a special talent, he makes great space for himself and others.

Your man 'El Loco' Vargas is another talent i am surprised nobody has taken the chance on, he's a dynamic and versatile player for the wings, tremendous energy and a great crossing ability and a set-piece specialist. He scores important goals for his side, he's a crowd favorite at Catania and both Roma and Juventus are interested.

The lower level sides are the real developers of talent in Italy, the academy and coaching set-ups are fantastic, particularly with the provincial sides. Its fantastic for Giovinco because he has been excellent for the Azzurrini and in the Primavera, he has really worked his way up with patience, but at Juventus academy he wasn't considered the top prospect out of his group, Davide Chiumiento was considered the top talent of the group that produced Volpato, Paolucci and Palladino, but now he's at Lucerne and hasn't really started to show his talent.

Development is a strange and complex but delicate process of maturity, i hope Giovinco fulfills his potential, there's plenty of young potential in Italy at the moment, i hope it all follows its abilities to the top.

I don't understand why he didn't play Andy C either...I was very pleased when we signed him...the thing is, Bellucci has been the best out of the signings we've made...he really has linked up well with the other players, and scored sme important goals.

However...my favourite Samp player is Maggio, who scored today. We missed him big time when he was injured.

    Still...Cagliari 0-3 Sampdoria Biggrin.

I am sure Ranieri will start with a trident attack with DP behind Iaquinta & Trez. Juventus have nothing to lose here as they are the underdogs & will go in with all guns blazing. I am hoping for a good show from the midfield...esp Nedved. Its about time he gave one of his better performances for the season.

Juve v Inter will kick off at 19:45, fifteen minutes later than scheduled, as the Inter team bus arrived late at the stadium due to public order problems.

Mancio decides to give Cruz a rare start over Crespo!!!! Not too surprising tho, El Jardinero is a known Gobbi killer Wink

Ranieri as expected decides on a trident attack, but with Palladino-Treze-DP instead of Iaquinta - a mistake if you ask me.

    Starters:

    Inter: 12 Julio Cesar; 13 Maicon, 2 Cordoba, 25 Samuel, 26 Chivu; 7 Figo, 4 J.Zanetti, 19 Cambiasso, 31 Cesar; 8 Ibrahimovic, 9 Cruz.

    Juventus: 1 Buffon; 21 Grygera, 33 Legrottaglie, 3 Chiellini, 28 Molinaro; 20 Palladino, 6 C.Zanetti, 23 Nocerino, 11 Nedved; 10 Del Piero, 17 Trezeguet.

I thought that was quite silly... Iaquinta offers that pace which could ve troubles inter... surely he will come on in the second half!

Some good ball skills by Zanetti and Nedved apart, the game has been a closely contested midfield battle so far. Both teams look like working too hard...

werent expecting it to be a typical top match in serie a, with alot of goals because both really dont want to lose. so unless the teams loos up i think it wil be a victory with one goal to one of the sides or a draw(most likely imo).
