There aren't many Tugay's around. As someone put it, if he was ten years younger he'd be playing for Man Utd. And even Man U play a bit of hoofball, albeit quite cultured hoofball...

barry and petrov are supposed to be the more cultured players in midfield. failing them we also have berger who was excellent at the end of last season. i certainly wouldn't mind some more creativity in midfield but what we really lacked was a box-to-box midfielder who breaks up opposition play, which was mccann was doing and latterly petrov, but it's not his forte. reo-coker is definitely a step up. he's a better passer than mccann (most people are) plus he's faster and capable of joining in attacks - which he was doing a bit against newcastle and unlucky not to score.

we'll see on his attitude, i'll give him benefit of the doubt for now, i don't think he's nasty in the barton way just a bit arrogant (kinda like 99% of footballers) - in a way we need some players with a bit more attitude, most of them are rather quiet nicey-nice types - gareth barry's captain and he's not exactly the most vocal of players.

I'm happy with all of our signings.
Pardon me while I drool. But damn, I've got setanta and they aren't showing the game until later. So I hope to avoid all news of the scores so I can watch it as if it were live. Laughing

    Avoid here then!

Yeah we have a great squad now. I still think we'll sign another 2 before the tranfer window closes. Curbishley has said he is looking to do this.
A striker looks like a certainty...then there are strong links with Nicky Shorey, Giles Barnes and now El Hadji Diouf pale
yeah I know to avoid this place, just got House MD Season 3 so I'll watch that until the game starts.

Happy enough with Bale, & Kaboul - they address weak areas of our team... KPB, I'm not too sure about, but he's young & I'll ghive him a chance.

Good to see Routledge & Taarabt allowed to become permanent members of the 1st team squad, if anything.

    Darren Bent though No

Has the ghetto Prince actually played a competitive match for you guys yet? I just know that he played a test match against some low division side, his first match for you guys, and scored a goal.
