Kanoute = Berbatov
Kherzakov = Keane
Fabiano = Bent
Cheva = Defoe
Chevanton just turned 27 so this should be a really big year for him - yet it looks like he is going to remain 4th choice.
He has been priced out of a move to serie A, he has turned down loan moves to Recreativo Huelva and Racing Santander.
From Goal.com:
After stating that he though the coach had "little personality", Chevantón has spoken out after suggestions that Sevilla were close to shipping him out on loan to Racing for the season.
"The challenge for me now is to triumph with Sevilla," he said.
"At the moment I am still here and the matter with Juande Ramos has passed, so now I am only thinking about working hard and playing for Sevilla."
Reports suggested that the 27-year-old was made available at the end of last season after a campaign that saw him play just 14 times and score four goals.
For me this all boils down to the fact that a director of football signs the players.
You can see the benefit of this (it gives the club continuity if managers leave) but its clearly a problem when the manager has a player he doesn't rate.
Its a terrible waste.
Hopefully Kherzakov and Fabiano will get injured/suspended simultaneously after the window closes
