Torino have done very vey well in the transfer market, im not sure they will gell in time to get a UEFA Cup (a bit like City) but they will be top 10 and have an exciting season.

Im surprised Udinese have let Motta go he has a lot of potential.

    Udinese have done $h!t IMO.

Muntari, De Sanctis, Iaquinta and Natali all lost. That's absolutely terrible. Compared to what they've bought in...

I think Torino are ready to challenge Palermo, Sampdoria, & Lazio for a UEFA Cup spot... they might pull it off, specially if some of the big buys click. They attack (when fully fit) is lethal!

    -------------Corini
Recoba - Di Michele - Rosina ok

Surprise prediuction - Torino for UEFA Cup!!

So how do you think these sides fared??

Fiorentina - C - agreed, they bought alot, but not enough experience there which is important for Serie A.

Inter - F Razz - strengthened all the wrong positions and failed to address the right wing and central midfield problem. Sold Grosso unecessarily and failed to get rid of deadwood like Adriano and Samuel.

Juve - B - did well to keep their stars but perhaps a BIG signing in midfield (Riquelme) and in defence wouldve helped alot to make a title challenge.

Lazio - C - did what we could with the money we have. Kept hold of Rocchi, got some decent squad players in but its just very unfortunate we had the problems with Carizzo.

Milan B - IMO their defence is fine. No problems there. Emerson also a very good signing. Shouldve signed Tevez/Baptista/Cassano to rotate with the attacking midfielders and forwards. Pato might be a bit too young to do that now and he only comes in January.

Palermo - B - good attackers but a bit short in defence.

Roma - A filled all the gaps in their squad (and alot of bargian buys there aswell) They now have the necessary depth to compete on both fronts.

Samp - C lost Quag for a low price, but bought Cassano and Montella so it could turn out well for them.

Torino - B - brought in talented players but some are risky and didnt really address the defence.

    Udinese - B Quag was a steal.

I think they have replaced everyone well except for De Sanctis.

    Quag = Iaquinta! ok

Paolucci, Mesto, & Boudianski are shrewd additions.

I see you ve reversed the grades Razz

Carizzo was a disasterous campaign... Lazio did get money from the CL qualification, could ve easily bought Amelia. Lazio also needed a quality midfielder, I just cannot see why Foggia was sent out again - he could have replaced Jimenez!! Doh

Lazio just don't have the team to compete in europe and domestically... its sad.

As for Inter, what right wing problem?? Its our strongest side, with Figo, Maicon, Jimenez & Zanetti - tell me a better right side attack or defence in Serie A?? As for central midfield, all depends on how Pele shapes up, so I cannot comment yet... but we do have Cambiasso, Vieira and Dacourt so should do fine barring too many injuries. Samuel was not sold coz of the Matrix injury, that was teh right decision. As for Adriano, well, we have got Suazo to compensate... let Moratti indulge in his hobby, Adriano can do us no harm thsi season coz he is the 5th choice striker. Inter have strengthened, I can't see how you can give them lower than a B. Evil or Very Mad
