Serie A Transfer Rumours Empty Serie A Transfer Rumours

Post by bluenine Sun Jan 06, 2008 3:57 pm

The main names linked to the top Serie A Clubs:

Milan: Boruc, Frey, Landreau, Gomes, Amauri, Drogba, Ronaldinho, Berbatov,
Inter: Maniche, Berbatov, Mascherano, Elano, Diego, Sissoko, Valeri, Cigarini, Diarra, Maresca
Juve: VDV, Diego, Sissoko, Mascherano, Berbatov, Cigarini, Marchisio , Huntelaar, Amauri
    Roma: Di Natale, Amauri,
Fiorentina: Lucho Gonzalez, Cigarini, Maresca, Foggia

I think most of these are just rumours.... IMO there are a few likely to happen (in bold), most others are just press talk... tho Juve will probably make a coupla big signings!

Please add to the rumour mill, and which ones you think are likley to happen...

Forgot about that one... tho IMO Juve are unlikely to go for Amauri.

What do you think of Milan going for Huntelaar? They are known to like their dutchies.

if juve buy sissoko i dont think i can continue to support them: he is the worst footballer i've ever seen and should retire tomorrow. Oh wait, what am i saying... he should be the first name on the teamsheet at luckycuntsp0-0 to help them drive towards glory and the return of red's legend BIG G, in place of rafa!!!!

Juventus should rather go for Mascherano who has many other qualities compared to Sissoko. He is just a game breaker & that's it.

Well Artur Boruc just signed a new deal with Celtic, so that one won't happen. January is always a nothing market in Serie A anyway...A few loan deals and maybe one biggish one.

That is true. But looking at Milan, there should be a coupla big transfers... and the increasing Juve ambitions, they will definately buy 2 big players. So this time, there will be some.

I think Inter will buy 2 players as well, due to all the long term injuries, but we will probably go for squad players.

Apparently Juve are after Flamini. His contract expires in the summer and for some strange reason we don't seem to be pressing on with negotiations.

I hope he doesn't leave. He's been imperious for sus this season.

Having said that, now that he's getting first team opportunities with us, I can't imagine why he'd want to leave us for Juve.

Jokes apart, I have no clue either.... while we definately need a DM urgently who can also serve as a long term replacement for Vieira (who shud be shown the door this summer), I don't think Sissoko is the answer... Mascherano definately, Diarra maybe, but not sissoko. Unless he is a Dacourt replacement, and we plan to get a better player in the summer.

I am not sure why he is not linked.... I guess we will have to trust the Inter management, their transfer campaigns have improved considerably in the last 2-3 years.

From what I hear, Maniche is strongly linked for this role.

Maniche distribution is awful as is his defensive capabilities hence we have conceded so many goals, his tactical discipline has been lost since he's not been under mourinho

Sometimes players just cannot adjust to different tactical systems. This is a cause of worry, if the Maniche rumours are true, but then if we do go for him, it also means that Mancio is convinced he will fit into our tactical system. I will comment more on this if/when this transfer is confirmed.

Zambrotta set for shock Juventus return - According to 'El Mundo Deportivo'
I would welcome him back even though he left the club. He is one of my favorite players.
One of our problems in the last few match were the fullback positions so he should remedy the problem plus he is very versatile. Molinaro is someone that could easily be replaced and act as a understudy to Zambrotta.

Inter close in on Maniche Tuesday 8 January, 2008

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inter could secure the signing of Portuguese midfielder Maniche within the next 48 hours.

The Nerazzurri are looking to expand their squad after suffering a glut of injuries in the first half of the season and they seem to be ready to turn to Maniche.

Clubs queue for Juve outcasts Tuesday 8 January, 2008

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Press reports suggest that Juventus have rejected a £9m bid from Tottenham for Tiago Mendes as Sergio Almiron is between Olympiacos and Torino.

Portuguese midfielder Tiago hasn’t managed to settle in Turin and has received harsh criticism from sections of the Bianconeri faithful.
