which is the strongest group in the CL and which of the top teams will suffer most to qualify?

Barcelona's group in the most difficult imo

To know which group is the strongest you can add the seading points of each group and check which amount is bigger.

to me B.

when you compare B and C:

Chelsea > Real Madrid
Schalke > Werder
Valencia > Lazio
Rosenborg < Olympiakos

I think B > C on this analysis.

I also rate E higher than C.

I think B.

For group C, Lazio have a chance, but haven't really strengthened their squad too well over the summer so I expect them to still come 3rd.

If Chelsea or Valencia slip up, Schalke could be in...

Don't think it's a good refletcion.

Milan's group is probably the easiest from a Milan point of view. Maybe 2nd will be competitive though.

and it doesn't take into account the reinforcements of certain teams or players lost like for Porto and PSV.

Group H is the most uncertain for the top 2 teams to qualify, but groups C, E & F have the strongest top3.

For me F, all teams have quality to qualify and all play attacking football.
It is the most interesting group as a whole IMHO.

Of course the one that matters the most is group A

Our groups over the last few years have been pretty boring, but this year promises to be very exciting;

Roma have very strong team (the strongest 11 in Italy apparently), play good football and have been playing well recently.

Sporting have some very good players and also play good football.

I don't really know that much about Kiev (havent seen them play in years) but I imagine, due to the conditions, they will be very strong at home.

I think we can will all our home games as we are very good at home. We're usually rubbish away from home but we should be able to get at least a point in 3 away games.

schalke are not better than werder..not a chance in hell......they are not that good at all...kuranyi..asamoah...ernst..all very average players..well..asamaoh isnt even average!..

Two Schalke players spanked ze zree lions a few days ago trees, even you should remember that.

They are not better than us, but they are different. Tough to beat, defensively solid, and they do have some quality players who can make the difference.

hmm..you call standing around in the penalty area..which a striker is actually supposed to do..(where else would he be standing?)..and benefitting from a very miss hit cross and a terrible goal keeping mix up/mistake 'spanking' the opponent?...anyone would have scored that...

panders goal was good..VERY good..he really has got a great left foot...i like him a lot actually...very stylish player...his display in the first half was terrible though..maybe nerves..maybe hed never heard of richards...who knows..

bremen is more of a flair team..schalke just bore people into submission...that will work against the BL teams...you need more in europe though to get far..

Kuranyi constantly caused problems for your defenders, despite playing on his own in the attack. He alone made sure that they had a pretty busy evening. I know that he was never liked in this country, can't say that I liked him myself either, but it's just idiotic to question his quality these days. He has improved considerably under Slomka in Schalke, and is one of the very best strikers in the league.

This was more or less Pander's debut, he was nervous indeed. He is stronger in the attack than defensively, but still a solid fullback.

kuranyi had one other chance i think..and he messed up big time trying to lob robinson (he should have just hit the ball straight at him really and hoped for a mistake)..if you call madly running around and getting in peoples way and thus keeping the defence 'busy' having a good game..then yes....i suppose he did...he didnt do anything constructive though..and his bothering the defence isnt something thats particularly hard to do..if your fit and not lazy..which he isnt.....hes not a great striker though....

It isnt difficult that group at all. Sevilla and Arsenal should win home and away against those other two.
I meant the strongest the barca group. Man Utd group it's perfect for us, teams who play football and attack suit us.

I'm even happy enough to concede rating Schalke and Werder very similarly. However, Valencia >> Lazio and that is where the main difference between the two groups lie.

As far as the strongest group goes, I tend to agree that its probably B followed by C. Im inclined to rate Werder (and Stuttgart) slightly ahead of Schalke as regards the German teams; Olympiacos more than Rosenberg though Olympiacos, having lost Castillo and Rivaldo, dont look quite as threatening as they did (they at least brought in Lua Lua, who I genuinely rate); but I think Chelsea and Valencia are two really strong teams who tip the balance for B.

That said, considering the most difficult group to qualify from, I think C is the one that stands out as being the only group where any of the four teams have a notable chance of qualifying. Group D is particular in that I think its fourth team, Shakhtar, are most likely to join Milan and go through. Group E should see an interesting fight between Lyon and Stuttgart - and I think Stuttgart will see Lyon off.

Then groups A and G have Liverpool and Inter who should stroll through, but three teams after that who will have to battle. Kyiv have the potential to cause an upset, but Man Utd and Roma will start as clear favourites. And Arsenal and Sevilla should go through.

bet they don't which is my point exactly perghaps they will both qualify BUT there will be doubt right up to the last minute

Werder and Lyon are a lot weaker compared to previous years, so B is the strongest group IMO.

I expect that G will be the most closely contested group, Inter is favourite but I can still see any two teams get out of there...
