Don't think we'l able to catch up with Germany. Romania could be doable, but we also have to watch the Russians.

I bet Braga it's going to give 200% against us this weekend.

Yeah, I think this was the worst week ever in european competitions.
We just can´t have more that 3/4 teams at best as we do not have the depth in our league to have more, the weaklings just blow our rating really bad.

    Porto Liverpool 1-1
    Milan Benfica 2-1
    Sporting Man United 0-1

    Belenenses Bayern 1-0
    Leverkusen Leiria 3-1
    Paços de Ferreira AZ 1-0
    Hammarby Braga 2-1

The 3 bigs results are bad but it was against top opposition.
Belenenses was an ok result, it was Bayern after all.
Leiria shouldn´t even be there, it is too weak a team.
Paços playing in europe for the first time after a super season by their standards...and going out in style.
    Even Braga losing to Hammarby???
There should be a rule that only a team but the 3 big should go. This will be for sure the worst season ever and we will take many years to go up in the ranking again.

6 defeats and 1 draw and you've gotten as many points as Holland have with 4 victories a draw and 1 defeat....

So nothing is lost for Portugal, you just can't do it on the next matchday too.

More troubling is also that you're gonna lose a good year (03/04) next year while Ukraine is having a good year so far, you might lose out on 9th place Shocked

btw, there was apparently some minor trouble from Twente ultras outside Getafe's stadium after the game. Don't think it was much else besides some vociferous protests though.

cska sofia sold all the original tickets for the game with toulouse on thursday, they now sell the allocation the away fans have not taken up, so it will be around 22,000 in the stadium.i got one of the last 2 tickets available in varna on monday, so will be there and will post my view of the game on friday.

Klose and Podolski are out injured for Bayern. Toni is now the only semi-fit striker. Bad timing. Guess Wagner will see some minutes in Lisbon and (hopefully) Toni Kroos as well.

Anorthosis Famagusta 1-1 Tottenham FT (2-7 on aggregate)

Tottenham should have won, but Defoe's finishing was poor and Bent barely contributed at all. Keane scored after good work from Bale. Boateng didn't do much when he was on the pitch either. Not a very impressive performance from Spurs though, they played quite a strong team against a poor side and should have won comfortably.

Pretty much spot on - Absolute disgrace of a performance. I wish I had taken the time out to have a wank wearing a glove made of broken glass instead of watching that on a portable TV.

Besides Martin Jol, I wonder if any other mug of a fan has been sat there doing f@ck all for the last few hours not knowing we had an early kick off?

We are going to get royally rogered (not by the one on EMB) by Liverpool.

DS really he is playing as an out and out striker with forlan dropping off a bit more although there is a lot of switching which is good and keeps the defenders on their toes. Both are doing superbly, i don't expect any english to understand but we are so much better without torres and with these 2, its unbelievable even allowing for other improvements in our squad, they get on well, which i don't think torres and kun ever did either.
