i havent been watching enough la liga this season if that s true. has he really been good?

I only saw the first game for Murcia and he looked outstanding...but Murcia are conceding less than a goal per game. He scored one or two as well. Just wanted to put one of our canteranos in there really.

he wasnt all that bad and i think in a defensive team he could play well.

Kas is so biased!

I knew it was, but I did it really quick so I didn't go through and properly think of an alternative. Should have just put Riera in. Initially I thought of Sisi as well (Valladolid) but his and his team's form has tailed off.

Guardado is another option, he's been great for Depor.

Anyway, Jaime's team is the same as mine except for Arango, Cannavaro, and Mejia.

Quite a few, that doesn't mean he's been the best keeper though.

5 out of 8 EPL games so far, I just checked... if I am not mistaken, thats better than anyone else.

But thats not why I put him as the best keeper... he just looks so solid and dependable this season.

VDS who has been criticised so much till the cows come home has kept 6 out of 8 , should have been 7 out of 9 if he had played against Wigan .. i think hes been in better form (and I'm not being biased) only two players has scored past him this season , Benjani and Geovanni.

Good point, I just think Reina is more dependable.... very under rated as a keeper.

I think you will find that wrong , Reina is well rated as a goalkeeper , infact got the Golden Gloves already for Liverpool 2 seasons ago i think.

As for the Liga team, good call on Fuentes, he's probably the Villarreal defender I'd have in. But Kanoute? Not only has he not played all the games (was rested), he's generally been poor like his entire Sevilla side. Aguero should be the default choice there.

The golden gloves just goes to whoever got the most cleansheets, not who is rated the highest. Last season it was VDS in the team of the year and before that it was some bloke called Given.

I always rated downing, good player and he is having a great season so far... at least the little I have seen of him...

Ditto Kanoute, Sevilla may be playing Cr@p, but Kanoute is still producing the goods... he has scored 4 goals (1 less than Aguero) and 1 in the CL? Tho I did think about putting Aguero in, but then remembered his last game where he did $h!t all... so I put kanoute instead, he is more dependable as a goalscorer, even this season.

Kanoute was equally ineffective against Barcelona, and Aguero even had to play Puyol-Milito for the first time. So judging only that game is rough.

Its a tough call I agree... but my money is on Kanoute. He has still been the best player at Sevilla this season...
