Kaka eyeing up move to Premier League?

Kaka has nominated England as one of the two destinations which could tempt him if he ever decides to call time on his AC Milan career.

The 25-year-old Brazil midfielder is at pains, in an interview with Esquire magazine, to stress he expects to remain happy with the European champions.


But should he ever change his mind, Kaka admits clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal would enter the equation - probably ahead of Chelsea or Liverpool.

'I'm very happy at Milan - and I don't expect that situation to change,' he said. 'But if you want to talk hypothetically, if I were ever to leave it would have to be for a club of equal stature - and I think I would only find that in England or Spain.

'Manchester United are a wonderful side ... I like Arsenal too.

'As for Chelsea and Liverpool, they are more tactically-oriented; they base themselves on solidity and organisation. They are maybe less creative, but they have good managers. I especially admire (Rafael) Benitez.'

Its all speculative bollocks, hes just doing what all top professionals tend to do, and thats say nice things about the other top clubs...

Besides if he ever chose to leave, i'm pretty certain Real Madrid would throw the Bernabau at Milan to get him.

Yes , he discussed mainly the players of Man United which he rated including C Ronaldo whom he called a 'typically Brazilian player'. However this thread was not intended to be the discussion of Kaka's future , but what kind of clubs a player of his stature is attracted to

He's not really a Wenger signing. He has an incredibly good attitude though

Arsenal have made loads more high-profile signings than us recently, of course....

Not more high profile. That's not our style. We weren't the ones towards the end of last season screaming about how our squad was going to be transformed though and how our club would be serious contenders for the title next season.

What we have done is brought in a very defensively astute right back that also have as a fair amount of attacking ability to boot, a potential top class DM for a bargain fee and a very highly rated and versatile attacker

And we've bought Torres (4 league goals so far despite not playing every game and apparently not being in an attacking side) and Mascherano (one of the best DMs in the world).

So we don't struggle to sign anyone decent.

Masch was the reason I provided for you NOT having signed anyone decent as he scares them.

Torres - we'll see by the end of the season. If he fails to score ten league goals, he should be regarded as a flop and a complete waste of money

As far as I'm aware the only people we failed to sign over the summer were Eto'o (who didn't move anyway), Malouda (went to Chelsea for the cash), and possibly Tevez. I don't think we're struggling to sign players.

On Torres, barring injury, I would agree with you (especially given the start he's made). 15 league goals for the first season would be a quite acceptable return for me.

Really? That's three just from this summer. And I woudln't be surprised if you'd made an inquiry for Quaresma as well.

I was only joking anyhow. I don't REALLY beleive that Masch is deterring players from signing for you. I blame the anti-football for that

Regarding Mascherano, isn't it at the end of this year Liverpool have to come up with a transfer fee or let him go?

£17m according to the Guardian. He is definitely worth the money and I would be surprised if Liverpool didnt buy him.

I would think he's value for money at that price.

Yeah £17 million is a very good price considering his age and the way he's played already.

I think you know who I'd get rid of.

In Alonso, Gerrard and Mascherano you still have better options than most clubs in Europe.

17 million is about right. I wouldn't call it a good price. I wouldn't call it a bad price. Certainly beats 30 million for Tevez...

On the other hand, we know how good Tevez can be and he's a forward, and they always cost more. And we don't know if it's 30 million or any other sum of money.

23 million for Carlos should be the limit, if it's 17 for Mascherano.

Lucas has a bright future by the sounds of things. I'd also be tempted to keep Alonso because Liverpool are a bit short of ball retaining midfielders. So that would mean Sissoko to move on, in my eyes at least.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if any Liverpool fan didn't put Sissoko at the bottom of the 'must keep' list of central mids.

The only complication is if Alonso wants to leave (as was being rumoured earlier this year)

Never seen that, must be on Redcafe, and I never envisaged those threee being the holy trinity, it just doesn't quite click in my mind but we'll see.
