Mweh... people playing out of position again.

Add to that the field is soaked so no jogo bonito tonight. Everyone will keep it simple with hoofs, so not really. It hasn't been that entertaining tonight.

What has been proven though (or re-confirmed rather) is that when Van Basten plays a decent team, his tactics let us down again.

    VDV RW, what the f@ck?!

I can sense his frustration , the team normally should be more effective within the box , not today .. still RVN has looked busy.

The field is too soaked for anyone to be able to pull off something. High risk for injuries too.

I'm getting rather annoyed with the Romanians : they don't want to play football, they choose this impossible stadium and they're diving all the time....you can just wait for them to score on a counter, because that's what the circumstances are ideal for.

Heitinga is a disgrace to the Orange jersey once again Sad

....and not even MVB will ignore De Zeeuw anymore Wink

What has Heitinga done wrong , from what I've seen playing in his not so favored position (even though he did early on in his career) he has tried to come forward and link up with the midfield/attack .. the pitch has not helped him.

I think the Romanians are confusing the wet pitch for a swimming pool. Wink

Seedorf had the best scoring chance; great save by Lobont (who knew he was still alive!?).

As for Van Basten ingoniring De Zeeuw... well, he has been able to ignore Heitinga's performances during his tenure hasn't he. Erm

I don't think he has done anything too badly - the pitch isn't helping either. But he's outlasting his stay by about a year and a half now (perhaps even two years).

To be honest, this has been one of his better performances as he hasn't fucked up (yet).

Tamudo gives Spain the lead. Not exactly against the run of play, but a bit surprising because Spain weren't putting together anything decent once they got into the opposite half.

But Iniesta made a good move on the left and put in a superb cross right on Tamudo's head, who finished easily after no Denmark defenders bothered to jump.

Heitinga has got no control, no vision, his passes get intercepted he marks his man wrongly....he's lacking in all departments, unfortunately for him the bad pitch accentuates all his shortcomings.

2-0 spain and i cant see us coming back from this game now. great build up from spain and ramos finishes the move with a neat chip. but we havent givin spain the condtions that they love by letting them have the ball right outside our area instead of pressing them and using their strenght.thankfully olsen already saw the problem and i think bendter will come on.

Sergio Ramos makes it 2-0 for Spain after an excellent team move.

Strange really, because if anything Denmark have marginally been the better side. Iniesta is Spain's best player, and Tamudo has done a reasonable job, but the rest of the midfield (Joaquin and Albelda included) have been awful.

    FFFS!

Goian scores an offside goal against Netherlands. Against the run of play as well.

Plus that $h!t greek ref booked RVN and Mathijsen respectively for an opponents dive and an unnamed reason.

Even MvB has seen teh shitness of Heitinga and has subbed him with Jaliens.

Van Bronckhorst has also just been booked.

    Doh Great!

correction : Bulgaria , Romania and Holland all play 9 games

    Romania - 23pts
    Holland - 20pts
    Bulgaria - 18pts

It was one of those games where you have had to watch 90mins to see the whole story , on Hollands behalf they had their chances but wasted. van Basten should leave due not to this game , but his overall performance has been something close to being pathetic , i don't care if van Persie does not play , VDV is one of the best playmakers in the game and is playing as a RW ..
