Neither Torres or Xabi Alonso are in the squad to face Everton at 12.45pm despite hopes earlier in the week they might be fit.

The team in full is: Reina, Riise, Finnan, Hyypia, Carragher, Benayoun, Mascherano, Gerrard, Sissoko, Voronin, Kuyt. Subs: Itandje, Crouch, Pennant, Babel, Lucas.

This is the sort of game made for Crouch IMO.

Kuyt and Voronin better get as a partnership for your sakes.

I look at the team, and i see a lack of penetration, whos going to provide that spark.

Pool went down in my ranking of dislikable English clubs. In the late 70s early 80s I hated them, all the gloryhunting kids in Holland 'supported' them & made fun of my Arsenal. Now Pool are ranked 3rd behind Man U & Spurs.
