the brum derby. not actually living in birmingham, or knowing any fans of the blue enemy, i don't feel it too bad, but you know it's there and i've become accumstomed to hating city, so it's a must win. it'd be a must win anyway, because we need to start winning away and where better to do that than at a relegation candidate?

We have a couple of players back...I think Ljungberg and Collins are back...Ashton a maybe...

Either way Derby are poor, and to lose to them would be very disappointing. It is possible though...

You lot are apparently looking for a Sporting Director.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/7085016.stm

I think that would actually be a good move. With Curbishley, the flaw he has, is attracting decent Foreign players and with a Sporting Director with decent scouting ability, it will some what complete that Jigsaw. You have the money, you have a decent Coach, you need someone with a rep across Europe who can attract the big names....Its not a bad decision..

But the key would be for Curbishley to have a decent relationship with the Director, as we/Jol found out....

I've never heard of this happening before. Mike Ashley isn't allowed to wear his Newcastle shirt in Sunderlands directors box, so he's going to be in with the away fans behind the goal. I hope he realises he's going to get drunks demanding he buys this player and that player. Laughing

Hehe read that earlier. The article also mentioned how he tried to go into a club once, but was stopped because he was wearing his Newcastle top. Finally one of the managers recognised him, and he went on to buy everyone in the club drinks, and also heavily tipped the staff.

I think Taylor is at rightback, he got caught out just now, getting drawn in by a cross that went over his head to Wallace who hit the ball on the volley and sent it over the bar. Good chance though, he should have done better and could have taken more time.

I see now, he is. Doesn't make sense that, he is hardly the most mobile player at Newcastle.

I annoys me seeing Martins on the bench, a player of his quality should be playing week in, week out.
