Bashmachkin wrote:Allardyce doesnt learn, and we have been dreadful so far. Both teams are hoofing the ball a lot, but we have been useless all over the pitch. We have no width, with Geremi, vying with Smith for our worst player this season (Smith would win but Geremi has played more whilst adding nothing), awful as usual and Emre constantly drifting inside. Butt and Geremi have given the ball away several times - Butt managed to do this about three times in one minute at one point during the half - and he and Barton look solid enough but we are back to lacking creativity in the centre. Only today we have nothing out wide too.

Our centre backs have been clumsy on the ball and they have hoofed it forwards too much to Martins, who is having to ceaselessly jump against men twice his height. Enrique has given the ball away at times too, Beye has at least made a few runs down the right. Owen is either near the goal and so plays greedily and wastes the ball, or else hes not near the goal and splat, hes on the ground.

I didnt know that N'Zogbia supposedly had a little bit of a cold, though I was presuming/hoping/satisfying myself with the idea that he could need a rest after being one of our best players so far this season. Still, whatever happens to be the case, if N'Zogbia was to be on the bench then Milner should have started.

The cold was why has came off at half time against Spurs, we still need him on though. We're playing for a draw against a team that has conceded 22 goals this season. Madness.

It's strange because the one player who has really shone in the last couple of weeks is Lampard... the one guy who I thought would struggle most following Mourinho's departure.

The football is better but will there be as much success? Who knows. Ale

I like the way the team is playing. Lampard is playing a better midfield role imo. the 4-3-3 looks tight specially moving forward. Essien is playing well and gets into the game better. The football is free flowing and more fluid... Chelsea to win the CL said here when Mourinho got the boot....Wink

Chelsea looking very very good. Chelsea are an awesome team without Mourinho. My theory is that Jose gave them that extra edge in the toughest of games (in CL especially). Chelsea's squad can take care of almost every team in the EPL. Here's waiting to see how Chelsea cope without Mourinho against the Mancs, Liverpool, Arsenal and CL giants Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter. I think it is there where Mourinho will be MISSED. <Ale>

Smith on for Martins. What a farce. All I ask is that we play the players that deserve to play and attempt to play some football, and Allardyce is obviously incapable of either.

Good. This monumental f@ck up of a game is Big Sams fault. We should've played Milner and Zog on the wings and Butt and Emre in the middle and we should've been battering them from the off. Instead we try to stiffle them, come unstuck and end up looking like a bunch of silly dicks.
