What teams have done a lot better than you expected?
Arsenal - I thought we'd be battling it out with Spurs and Liverpool for the 3rd and 4th CL spots. Thought we'd have a few 'dodgy' results early in the season as well. The type we usually drew or lost last season
Man City - thought they'd do well, but not anywhere near as well as they have.
Blackburn/Pompey - Thought both would be around and about the UEFA spots but its more the style of the football that they have produced that I've been impressed with
Reading - thought they'd get relegated this season, but they've actually not done too badly
What teams have done a lot worse?
Spurs, for obvious reasons. The same with Chelsea, although they're improving. After spending so much in the summer, I also expected better from Fulham. Always though Bolton would struggle this season, so I'm not as surprised by their demise
Who have been the best players in the league? (you can produce an XI if you wish)
Keepers: Schmeichal and Reina
Defenders: Richards, Vidic, Touré, Rozenhal, Samba
Midfielders: Cesc, Ronaldo, Scholes, and surprisingly, Lampard has been very good of late, AND not scoring!
What players have done a lot better than you have expected?
Lampard - some of his passing has been top class.
Heskey - A different player this season
N'Zogbia - Has stepped up his game and is beginning to realise his potential
Others: Santa Cruz, Nani, Carson
What players have done a lot worse?
Berbatov, Babel, Robinson, Nolan, Geremi
Has the quality of the league improved or regressed on last season?
Certainly. Think that the general quality of the teams lower down in the league (ie non top four) has improved massively - teams like Blackburn, Man City, West Ham, Aston Villa, Everton and Portsmouth.
Also think that the BIG 4 will be far better teams overall this season, than they were last season and I am confident that we'll see another EPL team in the CL final, for the fourth season running!
