I annoys me seeing Martins on the bench, a player of his quality should be playing week in, week out.

Would be first choice for me...I mean I'd put him before any other striker at the club.

Some desperate defending saves Newcastle. Sunderland just created a could of chances in quick succession, with clearances off the line and Leadbitter missing a header when well placed.

I think this game is showing once again that all Sunderland lack is a decent quality of player. They've got all the organisation, the persistance, the focus that they need. They just need better players than they currently have, and they could become a successful team.

But they do miss a lot of good chances, which may cost them as the season progresses.

I think Roy Keane is looking to bring in four new players in January. Johnny Evans on loan looks a cert. Keane was at Bramwell Lane watching our second string beat Sheffield Utd, I think he may be looking at Justin Hoyte and Alexandre Song.

Dickson Etuhu is a player that has impressed me this season, he put in a good performance at the City of Manchester on Monday.

I grew up there and used to watch the team on a regular basis so it is good to see them doing well (and it's always good to see non-league teams doing well in the FA cup). I would have gone today but I didn't get the chance to go down there and get a ticket earlier in the week, and wasn't too keen on paying £18 to watch them.

Exactly, it's crazy money to watch a non-league side. Although I can understand them charging that much, they're had financial difficulties in the last few years and they were always going to sell out today. Might as well get a good pay-day out of it before they go back to a couple of hundred people turning up for their games.
