Penalty scored by Gerrard. Wasn't a penalty though, the foul was outside the box by the looks of it.

How many points does a keeper get for an assist in fantasy football?

Same as any other player, 3, Reina get's an extra point from making 4 saves anyway.
Gerrard must be due a token bonus for scoring, hopefully that's the case.

Saw most of it from the 60th minute onwards. Probably was a shite game before then, but from there it was pretty good mainly because Liverpool were going all out to score and the game was stretched. Liverpool were always gonna score, wasnt a penalty though.

lols @ you lerd.

He has that X factor, he wont be a regular starter for us untill next season, but when he is then for sure he will be a big player for Brazil in the next world cup, no doubts about it

I watched the game, and Sunderland fully deserved the 3 points, they created more opportunities, however let in a very sloppy goal.

I agree, i was just saying that people were going over the top with comments like "dominated" and "battered". If that makes me the most biased plonker on this particular earth then so be it.

Why Martins was brought on with only 10minutes to go, i couldn't quite get my head around, Viduka looked a little unfit, and Owen contributed nothing apart from one attack from a punt up the field.
I'd be screaming for Oba to be playing more regularly.

Because Sam has a block of lard for a brain.
To be honest i don't think he really wants Owen to play, he just feels he has to play him. Because Owen can only play in a two man attack it means he can't play his usual 4-5-1/4-3-3, and Sam likes his 3 man midfield, so what we've ended up with is some sort of weird hybrid formation with 3 central midfielders and 1 winger which obviously doesn't work. If Owen were to get injured i'm sure it would make things simpler for him.

No offence Kimbo but Fat Sam is making Newcastle really dislikeable. I've spoken to a few Newcastle fans today and everyone seems confounded as to why Oba doesn't start every game.
Considering he is your best striker in my opinion do you not think he may consider a move if things don't change?

If things carry on the way the way they are he'd be well within his rights to leave. Whether he will or not i don't know, i doubt it, he seems very committed.

Liverpool dominated the entire game, but it was just the sort of match where they needed that one fantasy player to come on and make a difference. Ok, in the end Torres scored a Route One goal, but basically he's the closest thing they have right now to a Kaka or Diego, and today was the day they needed one of those (still doesn't excuse their previous bad results). Deserved win in the end...penalty decision is irrelevant because the game was won.
Edit: Hmm...just watching some replays, and Niemi wasn't exactly blameless for that Torres goal. Awful positioning
Still, it may just be the slight bit of "rub of the green went their way" that Liverpool needed after a frustrating 80 mins. The int'l break comes at a bad time for them, because it disrupts the momentum from the 8-0 win and today's result when their attacking play was excellent.

confidence was back in the team today
Even though fulham defended brilliantly for so long we still looked like scoring throughout the game. Hell i am even growing to like voroshit
torres is quite simply a fcuking brilliant player

Voronin has games (some in preseason, and today) when his movement is absolutely fantastic. He's like a dynamic version of Kuyt. But his finishing's not good enough. IMO he could be the Kuyt replacement rather than the 4th choice Fowler replacement. Voronin and Torres or Crouch and Torres can both be good partnerships.
