midfield was ok against russia, individual mistakes cost you, joe cole being the main culprit for wandering back and letting rooney take his place and attempt a challenge on someone, and robinson for being Cr@p. Joe Cole did nothing else in the game but has been the most consistent performer for england the last 2 years?

Is it Olic who has come in for Petric? Obviously Eduardo is their main goal threat, but Olic has been in good goal-scoring form recently so he could be a danger.

have to say, the choice to start carson is a little bizarre. i mean, i think he's a great keeper who could well become first choice (at least for a couple of years until hart is ready ) and i'm in wholehearted agreement with dropping robinson, but i would've chosen James, simply for his experience.
