Lovely strike by N'Zogbia, good thing it went straight at Almunia. It should have been an Arsenal freekick beforehand though for Barton clattering into Toure.

Come on Newcastle, play the game, surrender without a fight like you did against Liverpool.

Adebayor struggling with the concept of 'offside' there. We should have made much more of that chance.

Taylor equalises. Rubbish defending from Arsenal and Newcastle probably deserved that.
We've been far too sloppy in this half. These are problems of our own making.

I don't care what anyone else says, Alan Smith has played very well so far.

Bendtner on for Eduardo. I think that makes sense. We've been very poor in this half and Newcastle are playing at a much higher tempo and are forcing plenty of mistakes.

Taylor should've definitely gone, tbh. Adebayor was in after the short backpass.

Re: Newcastle United v Arsenal match thread
I'll settle for a 1-1. We certainly didn't deserve any more than one point. Credit to Newcastle, the best performance I've seen from them for a long time. Their effort was exceptional so fair play to them. I wasn't overly impressed with the referee. He let the game flow which is fair enough but I thought he ignored too many fouls from both sides. That block at the end was particularly cynical. Still, Newcastle is always a tough game for us and I'm pleased to pick up four points from our last two games, particularly with the players we have out. It wasn't a good performance but we are still in a strong position in the league. Hopefully no one has picked up any injuries from tonight's game.

1) You may not be getting them because you have about 5 players surrounding the ref every 3 minutes, Toure is ridiculous
2) What decisions do we get really? and do you have more money? I'm not so sure

Re: Newcastle United v Arsenal match thread
Good game. Much better from us.
On the two "fouls" at the end there, the first one was a case of the forward looking for something at the first sign of contact, the Taylor one was probably a foul though. But hey Oba wasn't offside at the end of the first half so we'll call it evens.

Just shows if you get at Arsenal then they you can stop them playing their brilliant football and get points off them
