    Drogba or Essien for me, and yes I'm a Chelsea fan.. If it were just on the start of the 07/08 season then Adebayor would have a very big shout. Wasn't Eto'o injured for a large part of 07 as well?

    Eto shouldnt be considered because he has played too few matches. for me it is kanoute/essien/drogba and since drogba got it for last season i will go for essien.

    Been givining it out a few years. I assume that when they got the rights to the Africa Cup of Nations that the award was initiated to justify to those who would sanction the purchase that'd they would take a greater interest in African football on the whole.

    Eto'o was injured for practically the whole season. If based on the whole year I'd go for Kanoute.

    If they include Adebayor they should have included Seydou Keita who has been brilliant for Sevilla, I don't know about his form when he was at Lens.
