    Marcelo On Way To Madrid?

Fluminense full-back Marcelo could be on the verge of joining Real Madrid, if reports in Spain are to be believed.

The Brazilian is in high demand with Sevilla ready to hand over 6 million euros up front for the player.

Real’s offer is believed to be the same, but the payments would be staggered.

However, Marcelo’s desire to move to the Bernabeu could be the deciding factor.

A Real source told AS: "The key is the boy wants to come to Madrid. Nobody can break his will. There are better offers , but the boy has his heart set on Madrid."

A deal appears close after negotiations between the clubs yesterday.

Seen by some as an eventual replacement for Roberto Carlos, Marcelo could immediately be loaned out in January as he does not hold a European passport.

Milan and Inter were also said to be interested in the 18-year-old who could be presented as early as Monday by Real.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At this moment it looks like Real Madrid will sign Marcelo and Gago in Jan.

We are apparently interested in Yohann Pele who is a French keeper that plays his football for Le Mans.

Don't know much about him, although Wengers record with keepers is not the best. Sad

Le Mans have admitted that Arsenal are interested in goalkeeper Yohann Pele though they have yet to make a bid.

Arsene Wenger has been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old for over a year and apparently sees him as the natural successor to Jens Lehmann.

And Daniel Jeandupex, the assistant to Le Mans president Henri Legarda, has confirmed that the Gunners are the favourites to sign the highly-rated shotstopper.

"We know Arsenal is still attracted but they have not sent any formal offer yet," he declared.

"Other European sides are also following him but it is not the same story.

"Anyway it is out of the question to talk about a transfer before the end of the season."

Pele is currently sidelined with a broken foot and it is expected that the Gunners will try seal a deal for him in the summer or perhaps even in the January transfer window.

It is reported in other sources, but it is still very much a rumour.

Bye bye Adriano, welcome King Toni!!

Nah, won't happen. Moratti will give Adri another chance. And the only acquisition we might make is a creative midfielder, but even if we don't, its cool.

1)Tevez wont be at West Ham when MSI fail in their takeover bid
2)Gudjohnsen is proven in the prem and I think hes a class player anyway ok

I'd love to have him but truthfully, I think it is a better idea to find out "own" Kaka. Milan don't want to sell him, he seems happy there so let's move on.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No bids for Higuain Thursday 9 November, 2006

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

River Plate have not received any offer for Milan target Gonzalo Higuain according to the club’s Vice-President Domingo Diaz.

The 18-year-old Argentine, who also has a French passport, has been paired with a move to several of Europe’s biggest clubs, with the Rossoneri, Real Madrid and Chelsea all interested.

Rossoneri transfer guru Ariedo Braida is currently in South America as he searches for January transfer targets.

But the latest reports in Spain suggest that Real have reached an agreement with River Plate, while Chelsea allegedly made a £8.5m offer for Higuain, whose contract ends in June.

“I have been asked what I think about an £8.5m offer presented by Chelsea, but I have no information about this and I haven’t even heard that they intend to make a bid,” said Diaz.

“River Plate want to keep the player at least until June 2007, this is our intention and at the time being we have not received offers from any club.

“If we should receive an official request which could be important for the club, then we will sit down at a table and discuss it.

“However, I do not want to make any comments until there is something certain to talk about,” concluded the official.

Former Fiorentina and Inter defender Daniel Passarella considers the player to be the new Thierry Henry

Milan monitor Alexis Thursday 9 November, 2006

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan are interested in signing Getafe defender Alexis Ruano, according to the Spanish club’s chief Angel Torres.

The 21-year-old joined the Primera Liga side in the summer from Malaga, where he grew up in the youth team, and has impressed in Bernd Schuster’s team.

He hit the headlines after scoring the winner against Real Madrid in October, although he has been sidelined in the past few weeks after suffering an injury against Recreativo.

“Milan are following Alexis, who is a phenomenon,” said Torres. “You mustn’t forget that the Italian club had already tried to sign him when he was 16-years-old.

“Getafe is a club where the President presides, the Coach coaches and the players play," concluded Torres, referring to claims he was interfering with his Coach’s plans.

It seems that Higuain is everywhere bound Evil or Very Mad

I can see him go a bit everywhere, in particularly Spain (language and style of play) or France to get experience (and his mom's French). Wonder if he's going to choose the French or Argentinian nationality? Should be French according to his parents
