No bids for Higuain Thursday 9 November, 2006

River Plate have not received any offer for Milan target Gonzalo Higuain according to the club’s Vice-President Domingo Diaz.
The 18-year-old Argentine, who also has a French passport, has been paired with a move to several of Europe’s biggest clubs, with the Rossoneri, Real Madrid and Chelsea all interested.
Rossoneri transfer guru Ariedo Braida is currently in South America as he searches for January transfer targets.
But the latest reports in Spain suggest that Real have reached an agreement with River Plate, while Chelsea allegedly made a £8.5m offer for Higuain, whose contract ends in June.
“I have been asked what I think about an £8.5m offer presented by Chelsea, but I have no information about this and I haven’t even heard that they intend to make a bid,” said Diaz.
“River Plate want to keep the player at least until June 2007, this is our intention and at the time being we have not received offers from any club.
“If we should receive an official request which could be important for the club, then we will sit down at a table and discuss it.
“However, I do not want to make any comments until there is something certain to talk about,” concluded the official.

Milan monitor Alexis Thursday 9 November, 2006

Milan are interested in signing Getafe defender Alexis Ruano, according to the Spanish club’s chief Angel Torres.
The 21-year-old joined the Primera Liga side in the summer from Malaga, where he grew up in the youth team, and has impressed in Bernd Schuster’s team.
He hit the headlines after scoring the winner against Real Madrid in October, although he has been sidelined in the past few weeks after suffering an injury against Recreativo.
“Milan are following Alexis, who is a phenomenon,” said Torres. “You mustn’t forget that the Italian club had already tried to sign him when he was 16-years-old.
“Getafe is a club where the President presides, the Coach coaches and the players play," concluded Torres, referring to claims he was interfering with his Coach’s plans.
