Personally, I voted for Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Jarque, Garay, Abidal, Raul Garcia, Messi, Robinho, Iniesta, v. Nistelrooy, and Luis Fabiano.

Great team, though I'd have Garay over Pepe and Jarque over Canavaro.

I'd probably take Garcia over Keita too, since Keita doesn't play every game.

How can Pepe make that list and not Milito?? Pepe has hardly played. And Touré deserves to make the list too...

Yeah, I didn't vote for him. I assume that people have based it entirely on his match against Barcelona.

I didn't even notice Toure was left out but that is definitely a big error.

Some tough choices to make at a few of the positions...but my votes go to:

I didn't pick van Nistelrooy because yes, he has been crucial for Madrid, but Luis Fabiano deserves credit IMO for being such a surprise. And I cheated a little by taking 2 from the Left Midfielder list rather than anyone from the Right Midfielder list, as much as I wanted to put Messi in there.

A good shortlist by Marca though - the likes of Cazorla, Varela, and De La Red have also had great seasons so far.

Who's that pony tailed guy from Mallorca? I think he's a left sided player. Has looked pretty useful when I've seen him.

I think your thinking of Arango/Jonas.

Sisi deserves to get a big mention as well, every time I watched La Liga he was amazing. Would put him even ahead of Messi.

Well, it's Marca poll remeber.

The choices that Marca put up are pretty good. I can't think of anyone missing who deserves to be there ahead of the candidates. So far I think the voting is spot on except for the 2 CBs, who I'd swap for Jarque and Garay.

One player who should be in that list without doubt is Aguero.

City have been linked today with Daniel Guiza and Jonah Gutierrez from Mallorca, how good have they been?

Guiza is a good striker, fringe player for the Spanish national team as well (though he's going to be overtaken by Bojan ), but I can't see him doing well in the Premiership. Don't know much about Gutierrez...or are you referring to Jonas?

Talented winger who was meant to join Pompey in the summer but that fell through.

Jonah Gutierrez, Juan Arango, Valera and I think Fernando(though it might be David) Navarro have been the star men for Mallorca.

He'd be a good signing for City and is someone I would like to see join Liverpool

Fernando indeed. He's a left-back. Nice to see him do well after coming up from Barça's academy and making the LB spot his own as a teenager in Van Gaal's 2nd spell. But then a serious knee injury and the coaching changes meant he got sold.

Yeah Jonas, he has been linked with a move to City, i havnt seen much of him play but from what i have seen and what ive read he looks a great player.
