Defintly a mistake to do that. Not sure who organized putting it there, as it seems a bit off....bouncing babes? but their is no sponsor on the shirts for the game against man city this is a good idea and gesture.

I would wager that the club probably didn't want it on there (hence it being small and in the corner) however AIG probably have a stipulation within the contract forcing Man Utd to put it on this particular piece of advertising.
Never the less, its entirely inconsiderate and if AIG are forcing Utd to have their logo on it, they are c**ts

What kind of club makes money from a disaster? - One that is a business first and foremost. To be quite honest there are a number of clubs who it wouldn't surprise me if they acted in the same manner, even if Man Utd push the commercial aspect of the club a bit more than others. It is distasteful but a reality of football these days.

What is that quote all about? A bunch of bouncing babes? Wtf!? The picture is the only good thing about that, a shoddy effort IMO.

There's an unmistakeable stench that emanates from Old Trafford which is probably why most of their fans choose to live in Kent or the Far East.

One run by an insurance company - whose entire reason for existence is the fear of disaster.

Stipulation of them not having the sponsor's logo for that match day I'd imagine.

Heard there would be no minute silence when England play Switzerland on the 50th anniversary as the FA fear English fans would not show respect. Sad wonder how Sir Bobby Charlton would thinks about this.

Tottenham make money from a disaster every home match. Younes Kaboul and Jermaine Jenas are usually the protagonists

why should there be a minutes silence? It's a bit silly that Man Utd are making such an issue of it if you ask me, most of the people who died would have been dead by now anyway.
Of course United will make a big deal about it and as expected will turn it into a big PR stunt, but it really has little or no relevance to any of us.

So? Man utd don't represent England, why should the FA particularly care about any single club's disasters.

At what? Champions league level? So do 3 other clubs at any given time, no one gives mins of silence to hillsborough and whatever other disasters other clubs have suffered.

What do you mean at Champions League level? Manchester United, along with 19 other clubs represent the Premiership. 92 teams in total represent the English Football League.

That's not representing England, that's representing Manchester. Either way they have nothing to do with the national team so therefore I don't see a reason for England to have a minutes silence and consequently don't see a reason for our club officials to bitch about it.
