This has been a scintilating performance from the part-timers of Havant and Waterliverpool. Ale

didn't Liverpool sign and then sell the new Ayala?

I doubt many of the Liverpool fans on this board have a great knowledge of the world U17 footballing scene, you're an idiot if you take the opinion of a fan as fact.

Liverpool's best reserve XI? How the f@ck should I know? I don't even know our best first first XI.

Who's the new Ayala? What was wrong with the old Ayala? I don't know what you're driving at here.

Im sure Liverpool have signed some reserve team players over the age of 17?

i don't take a liverpools fans opinion as fact, if i did then i would have put money on Liverpool winning the league this season.

If you don't know what ur best reserve XI is then how do u know they would lose?

don't u remember signing argentine defender? i can't remember his name.

    ok
Much much better second half performance, exactly what we needed after the embarasment against Spurs. Senderos was very solid which was good, Clichy was impressive once again - unbelievably fast. Diaby had a better game than usual also. As for Adebayor, he is a monster. 'tis all.

Paletta, he's gone back to Argentina but like Barragan we have a first option/agreed buy back fee. I don't recall Ayala playing in the Premiership.

The only reserve players I can speak about with any real authority are El Zhar, Hobbs and possibly Insua. The rest are fragments of the kids who regularly defeat your kids with the rest out on loan.

Still wouldn't play them against a non league side, they'd get the $h!t kicked out of them

yeah we were very good in the 2nd half. I was very harsh on the team during half time coz that 5-1 spanking was still on my mind.

It's very disappointing to have lost 3-0, especially considering a good first half performance in which we arguably shaded the game, came closer to scoring with a Smith shot being headed off the line, with Taylor having a very good chance in space in the Arsenal area, with one fantastic move down the right involving Carr, Milner, Owen which we didn't quite finish off. The second half we were poor, we lacked energy, Adebayor's goals were a class apart.

I thought, given the first half, the lack of quality from the likes of Duff and N'Zogbia in the second was a big shame, because they threatened well down the left early on. Milner ran all game, had a good match overall. I didn't think the defence could be faulted for anything today - all four defenders had a solid game, Carr and Enrique made a few decent runs forward. The problems were Butt, again, who struggled to pass and who offers no defensive protection, and then our two forwards. I don't think we could find two players who put in less real effort, who are less mobile, who show less imagination than Owen and Smith. The number of times they were caught offside was ridiculous, and meant that, besides from lacking attacking threat, we also were put under constant pressure in the second half. I'd really be happy just to get these two off the wage bill, to just get rid of them.

Still, there are some positives to be taken from the first half, and with Martins back, with Viduka fit, and hopefully with at least one midfielder in before the end of the month, things should improve, we should start to build in February.

At the level what do you think is more important, winning or the style of football your players play?

The impressive thing about the Arsenals reserves is that they play in the same style as the first team. but you don't hear that much about them winning things.

i would like to apologise for the earlier wind-up, suggesting that the Liverpool reserves could win today 3-0.

Gael Clichy, you are a fucking star. We haven't felt the effects of losing Cuntly C*nt at all. <Ale>

Flamtusso solid as usual. I believe he's making a pocket big enough to fit both Pirlo and Kaka for the CL tie, I'm looking forward to it, I believe Nike will be designing it.

Is anyone worried about Cesc's goal streak drying up, we really could use his scoring touch at this time in the season.

Nothing needed to be said of Adebayor, he is what he is. I'm noticing a great connection with Eduardo, they're building a great understanding

    Senderos wasn't Dogshite today! cheers

i agree in principal, but i'm hoping its the usual suspects in the final, purely for the european place to go to the league. we finished 6th in the year millwall got to the final and boro won the league cup, so only 5th place got into europe. most upsetting.

I like Senderos, but he has been $h!t since our run to the CL final in 06. He seems to be getting it together though, good performances in the last couple of games.

Here's to a Federer capitulation this year. God knows how much Senderos deserves to be Swiss sportsman of the year. It's time the big CB got a chance to be in a Rolex advert. Ale

Terry and Carra are not great footballers..... they are determined and read the game well, Senderos does not read the game quite as well, so in principle you are right, but Senderos is very much a poor mans Carragher Ale
