The player who seems to get worse every time I see him play is Shawn Wright Phillips. Besides having the touch of a rapist, he seems to do everything wrong. His shooting, vision, and passing are awful. He's become the definition of a "pace-merchant".

Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Weekend Thread
Anelka should be a good buy IF Grant makes a system where him and Drogba can play together. If he keeps with the 4-3-3 then Anelka will likely spend a lot of time on the bench and so expect the sulking to begin.

I was wondering about that line that goes through the whole field. It looks like they filmed the last scene of "Back to the Future" right there.

Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Weekend Thread
And SWP scores
If he missed that he might as well have retired though. It was all Anelka there. Funny that there was a chance earlier in the game where SWP could have squared the ball to Anelka and left him with a free shot on goal but Phillips decided to make an awful shot from outside the area instead. In that goal Anelka was in an easier position to score himself yet he still squared it to his teammate

Re: FA Cup Fourth Round Weekend Thread
Just got back from our game. We were pretty flat in the first half and Newcastle had the better of the chances. There were a couple of opportunities where they should have done better and Clichy did well to clear off the line. Diaby's effort at the end of the half was good, but otherwise we lacked any real co-ordination and fluency in our play, and a number of players were struggling to get involved. We improved in the second half, and once we scored we didn't really look like conceding. Two fine goals for Adebayor, and as others have said Clichy and Senderos played very well. We started playing with a bit more imagination and pace as well. The scoreline was harsh on Newcastle though.

Fine. He wasn't really forced into any saves that I can recall, but he controlled his area fairly well and his distribution was decent. He looked fairly sharp considering his lack of match football.

The way he scored that goal midweek was like when you were 7 or 8 playing with a big group of mates your own age and someone's 13 year old brother comes on for a kickabout!

Come On Man Utd!
I honestly hope that Man Utd can hit them with a 4/5-0 or something. Kbnock their confidence and send them crashing again.

Spurs is back four is
Tainio -- Huddlestone -- Dawson -- Lee
If we can't score a couple past that, I'd be very worried. Could lead to a highscoring game as well.

Keane scores for Spurs!
I wasn't expecting that.
Very good play from Lennon as well, it must be said.
