There's real no options for us. I think it's a pretty good sign that we haven't panic buyed, now we can save our money and buy the right player when they become available.

It is a bit strange loaning a player from one of our most hated clubs though.

Rossi and Martins could be a good partnership. Rossi's vision and Martins pace, but its not the tallest.

More sensibly Roesder should have just loaned Rossi and maybe someone else and buy next summer

Saha, Rooney, Solsjaer, Smith .... 4 first team strikers available, but from that list id say Rossi was at least the 3rd most creative striker Utd have.

if given the chance, i think Rossi could easily be Newcastles top goal scorer this season.

it means we are signing Trez on loan or going in for Tevez........

he's an all round type of striker left footed can score goals from outside the box create them drop deep go out wide and poach

yeah i thought so, considering Roeder has managed to get Rossi why trhe hell did he buy Martin's.

Martin's is no goalscorer he's no creative foward either he's just raw potential and speed.

As i said it would have been better for him to wait till next summer.

I can't see Rossi getting many starts, although you would think Ferguson would have put something into the deal or said to Roeder 'we will only let him come if he is in serious contention for a place....

The most interesting thing will be the fans reaction to him. I just can't see us taking to a Man U player, they're hated here.

Martins is long term and will be first team, Rossi is short term back up.

If Rossi and Martins play together, it will be similar to the problem we (Tottenham) have with Keane and Defoe.

Ameobi is improving, but we'll see how Roeder fits things in. Clever deal on both clubs part IMO

Rossi to Newcastle surely mean U*d are going to sign a striker. Either that or he is happy playing a season with 3 strikers, two who have suffered with long term injuries recently.

I'm not to sure how the Ameobi-Martins pairing is going to work, Martins really insn't the best in link up play or dropping deep.

Ameobi is the link up player, a Crouch-esque type of player(but better ), Martins will be looking run in behind defences.
