A while ago Feyenoord & Manchester played in the same CL group. Went to both matches. The match at Old Trafford Backham made a disgraceful foul on Van Bronckhorst. He intentionally kicked him out of the match (maybe the worst foul Becks ever made, guess he was pissed off he was being outplayed.

I remember the incident.

British media nealry ignored, only put in statements like Feyenoord were very angry about the foul. No judgements on God Becks).

Naturally, but the British press being useless at their job doesn't detract from the poetic justice of a cheat suffering at the hands of another cheat.

That does not mean I would be happy if Becks would suffer the same foul (Gio was out injured for a while). I also condemn Bosvelt retaliatory foul on Irwin in the return leg (this one was covered plenty in the English media, you'll remember it, it was deisgraceful).

Aye, it was a bad one. And I'm not asking you to be happy about Beckham being hypothetically injured. I'm just saying that I'm happy that a cheat (which Eduardo is, unquestionably) has suffered at the hands of another cheat.

I suffered an injury like that myself, you don't wish it to anybody.

I've watched more Man U matches, largely because more are on the TV. I've written more about Man U than I have about Southampton, largely because what's to say about Southampton? The board is a joke, the squad overinflated and full of mediocre players and the manager, before he left to manage Scotland, was showing his quite drastic limitations.
