You knew it would be. It makes the whole process a farce. I actually don't think he should have been sent off. But then Gallas kick nothing, Petrov 3 games, Allardiere minor slap 4 games, Mascho slap nothing...??? it makes no sense

Consequently we'll be in this exact same position in a year's time. The players can't know what will be punished and what won't because the FA and referees are so inconsistent. Kill the lot of them and put me and Lrd in charge.

Farcical. Aliadiere's appeal against a 3-match ban for patting a wind-up merchant on the cheek is deemed frivolous, but Lampard gets his ban overturned - despite tv pictures clearly showing him raking his studs down the players leg.

Most of the decisions have backfired anyway.
Ronaldo's ban resulted in him being fresher and going on a incredible scoring run.
Gallas in the next game when he should have been suspended was crying on the pitch at the end of the game
Adebayor getting away with a headbutt has led to him looking burnt out and missing an open goal v milan.
Maybe Allardiere being banned will result in Alves getting match fit and firing Boro into the f.a cup final where they will be thrashed 4-0 by manu
