Thats a mistake... they should have played Tonetto, Cicinho, Guily, & Aquilani instead of Cassetti, Panucci, Mancini, and Pizzaro. Roma seem to be approaching this game with caution, I guess they are afraid to concede.

Anyways, I hope you thrash Roma and break their confidence, even without Ronaldo and Rooney. We will then pick up the pieces in Serie A

People say Liverpool-Chelsea games are boring but these United-Roma games are just as boring IMO, who wants to see United thrash them by 2 goals or more every single time?

The problem with this slightly defensive line up is that you are giving roma hope... Roma might now feel a bit confident that they can play their natural game and attack all the time. Unless ManU start with a high tempo and shake their nerves a bit, this could backfire for ManU. Even without Totti.

Remember, 1 goal by Roma and its game on.

Maybe SAF is confident that tevez and co will work extra hard and play with a high tempo to peg Roma back in the begining - coz thats what is required.

This team selection is incredibly insulting to roma. It is the quarter final of a CL, against the second best team in Italy and united field a relative reserve side

Let's hope Roma have some sort of ability about them to punish this

I disagree - Rooney on Ronaldo from the bench makes it pretty much the first team. They'll be on like a shot if Roma score.
