    Markus - it does have an impact.

    Lots of people take Totti out of the game because he ain't quick or strong enought to get away but you still have to stick someone on him (would have been Hargreaves) which does affect the wayyou play.

    He would have made a difference in the 1st leg IMO but United would still have gone through over 2 legs.

    This could be all exaggerated; I don’t think Totti would have done much in the 1st leg, even against 10 men Man United last season. But this is not to diminish him.

    Thats silly, Markus. Its like saying that ManU will not miss Ronaldo in a big game or Inter would not miss Ibra. Of course they would. Roma's fortunes depend more on Totti than the aforementioned examples.

    One can't predict what difference it would have made, but with Totti Roma are much better than without. I don't think there is any doubt of that.

    I may be wrong to judge him against 1 opposition, but against Manchester United he hasn’t done much. But I would agree with you he will be a miss just like Ronaldo or Wayne Rooney will be a miss for Manchester United in any big game.

    Roma might have missed Totti but Man UTd have missed Neville for a whole fucking season!

    At least Roma had Vucinic to bring in. Utd, in contrast, have relied on a right back that is at best Ryman Premier standard.

    Great news....

    United have been boosted by the news that Rio Ferdinand could be fit to face Roma in Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg at Old Trafford.

    Ferdinand had limped out of Sunday's 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough, but a scan on Monday confirmed he had no suffered a broken foot as was first feared.

    Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday that the defender should be fit to face the Italians, although a final decision will be made on Wednesday morning.

    "Rio's scan was clear and we hope to have him on Wednesday," revealed the United boss.

    Gary Neville and Mikael Silvestre are also in the squad and Sir Alex confirmed one of the duo may even start the game.

    I think ManU should start Tevez... one goal, and this tie is as good as over!

    Is Ferdinand really out? There is some luck there as there is no Totti to exploit Brown-Pique.

    I hope Spalletti starts with Guily instead of Mancini. They need to attack from the beginning to make a game of this one.

    Rio is fit to be in the squad but I think with the score the way it is he may be rested for Arsenal at the weekend. Could be a dangerous game but there's no point rushing him if he does have a knock.

    If O'Shea plays Roma will probably try to attack our right hand side.

    Come on Pique , time to take the chance son and he isnt slow hes got decent pace but he doesnt have an acceleration over few yards meaning he's slow in turning etc , people confuse these two very easy.
