    and your favourite formation?

I'm not 100%, but I'm fairly sure Fernandinho played quite defensive for Shaktar last season. I'm not 100% sure though.

Renato maybe? Though he doesn't quite seem Brazil class, with all due respect to him.

Edit: Also, while I agree with Dani Alves and Adriano (You do mean the Sevilla one, right?), I would have Oliveira over Fred. But then, I don't watch much of Ligue 1.

Yes, Adriano from Sevilla. Maybe Maxwell if he plays well for Inter this season.

Fernandinho is an AM. IMO Kaká and Ronaldinho must be the starters. Carvalho would be a super sub.

    Renato is not good enough.

Oliveira is a very good player, he will fight with Fred and Nilmar for a place in the squad.

Yes, forgot about Mancini. Another would be a super sub. He scored 16 goals playing for my fav club as a right midfielder .

Emerson and Mineiro are too old, both are 30 yo.

Adriano played as a left back here.

I think he's played further back for Shaktar though. He's not been great infront of goal, I know that much. Maybe he's just adapting to his new enviroment, but I remember being told he played in quite a restricted manner for them. Though I guess Duljaj, Tymoshchuck and Lewendowski would all play the holding role before him.

    Isn't Dudu a defensive midfielder?

Hmm, needless to say; picking a Brazil sqaud is very difficult!! Revised sqaud:

Gomez, Ceni, Dida, Alex, Lucio, Juan, Cris, Alvez, Cicinho, Gilberto, Maxwell, Adriano, Edmilson, Gilberto S, Kaka, Carvalho, Mancini, Ronaldinho, Elano, Robinho, Olivera, Adriano (Inter), Fred.

Alex could always provide cover in the DM role as well. Not many CM's in that sqaud though, perhaps too attacking.

Still leaves the likes of Sobis, Baptista, Ricardinho (30+?) Dudu (first I've heard of him today), Ratinho, Capaca, Ferdandinho (according to you guy's) Nilmar, Luisao, Micon etc out of the sqaud, and they're all very good players.

I'm not Adriano's (Inter one) biggest fan, but I'd be surprised if he's left out the sqaud.

    Sheva,

Do you think that with Dunga watching the Eastern European leagues, and Ronaldo and Adriano seemingly not going to feature for a while - atleast that's what our commentators seem to think Rolling Eyes - there'll be a chance for someone like Brandao - he's got a pretty decent record at Shaktar after all.

25 goals in his last 36 league matches before this season. and 31 goals in 42 matches in Brazil, apparently, though I'm not sure in what league. I think he played for Sao Caetano and Germio though - you'd know more about that than me.

Are 3 attacking leftbacks needed? Gilberto, Maxwell and Adriano seems like over-kill. I'd like to see Matuzalem or Jadson get a chance in the Elano role - but on the opposite flank, with Mancini supplying the width Carvalho was supplying, but down the right.

lmao there's so many Brazilians plying their trade in far flung places. Never heard of Brandao Obispo. What would your sqaud be?

I just like shaktar, so I try to keep up as best as I can. Which isn't great considering I can't speak ukranian Rolling Eyes

To be honest, I'd struggle to name a squad. There's so many people I'd like to see get the chance - Matuzalem and Jadson being the main ones - but, they're attacking midfielders, and ultimately not good enough to play ahead of Ronaldinho, Robinho, Baptista, Mancini or Kaká in the role behind the strikers.

You'd have to play them in experimental games, like the one today, to get any benefit from them, and even then, what would the point be? They'll never be first teamers.

Yea that's the problem with Brazil. Too much attacking quality. Think how good Deco is for Barca and Portgual, and he'd even struggle to make the Brazil squad.

Maxwell, Adriano & Gilberto is overkill. I guess it'd have to be one out of Max and Ad. Which would leave space for another player. Perhaps Baptista.

Sorry for replying late, I´m pretty busy right now.

I don´t think so, the players form eastern europe that Dunga called up did very well here. That´s not the case of Matuzalem or Brandao.

Nilmar is not a striker IMO. he could be Robinho's reserve though.

    ok ok ok

I thought the same thing, keep that bastard away from the others players!!

I hope basile take a page out of Dunga's book and look to the east and the mexican leagu for some good argentine players that have fallen of the radar a bit. because i don't really see any one playing in the big leagues that can replace Crespo.

HIGUAIN -looks promising but isn't ready yet.

Cavanahgi-has finally settled in russia and is scoring more freely. hopes he gets a few goals in the CL group stages and leaves russia

V.Love is he also one of Roman's buys? Hes playing at CSKA and the commentator mentioned something fishy about these players playing in Russia and East Europe.

    @ Sheva7

Robinho came through! He really shined, although he had one great chance but he squared it.
