If he loved player development then why does he perpetually sign developed players instead of actually producing youngsters through the club?
He likes 'polishing gems' as Mourinho put it. I reckon international management would suit him down to the ground - hand picking from hundreds of footballers and blending them over time into a team.
Obviously the England job would be a non starter, but he's highly respected in France, is he not?
