Disagree there are just as many glamorous players in the EPL else why would players like Lampard be considered for the WPOTY

Arsenal don't go for stars, ditto Chelsea (exception Sheva and Ballack)

Liverpool are star-light as well

only ManU have Ronaldo and Tevez, players who could have gone to Real as well

Not sure what this has to do with football but the Empire had at one time control of a quarter of the world's population. Even if they didn't rule I doubt there is a country who hasn't felt the impact of Britain's Colonialism in one form or another (even just trading).

Maybe but football is the world's biggest game and only the UK(in Europe) has a worldwide broadcaster of that stature

Can you imagine Old Trafford or the Emirates for instance being the proud owner of such an ugly, threatening creation? No, didn't think so. Supporters shouldnt be treated like cattle, and that is partly why the EPL is so popular

So it is down to the stadiums or what? cant imagine that stadiums have that big an effect. Italy had some bad stadiums after WC 90 with track fields that isnt particular fan friendly but it was still the most popular league.
