I think Walcott can become a very good player one day, maybe even World Class. Right now though, Giovinco is better, let alone the likes of Pato and Balotelli.

The kid is only 19, I see his game as WIP as is the case with all players his age. His biggest shortcoming is that he is short, but his control at pace compensates for that. And his attitude. I think he could become a lethal winger if he develops well.Supermadrid wrote:ups i meant to see if you have seen Arsenal and Walcot this season much. not many rate him that much. i thought he created a good goal but i wouldnt want him for my team. i dont think he has the football brain needed to make it. he is fast but that is not enough esp not in italy so im not sure you would want him.bluenine wrote:I don't like Arsenal, never did. I can't object to throwing in Theo in this comparison - that kid is as special.
Are you serious Blunine? have you Arsenal and Walcot this season? you better not let Saints catch you claming this sort of thing. great assist though.
But Theo I like. Wouldn't mind seeing him at Inter. Maybe he is a better winger than a striker, but he always injects so much energy into the attacks. A good kid to watch out for.
Maybe not in the same league as Balotelli and Pato (I can see where Forza is coming from), but he can get there.

Haven't seen much of Balotelli, but I think Pato is overrated (I know he is 18/19 years old, but not that impressive in my opinion). So hard to compare at this early stage, but I'll take a risk and say Balotelli will be more effective than Pato.

Pato does have everything to his game though (pace, touch, two good feet, technique, skill, good in the air etc), just as yet hasn't brought that all together (which is to be expected given his age). Don't think he has done anything special yet, but considering he's played less than 30-40 senior games in his entire career, he's done very well.

Walcott hasn't been that bad this season. He didn't start it too well, and in truth, had a very poor end to last season and looked to be lacking confidence.
He has, quite bizarrely, been great for us in the CL though. Scored a brace in one of the group qualifiers and obviously, got the assists against Milan and Liverpool.
I honestly think he's very close to being a first teamer for us now. Which isn't bad for a 19 year old.

Pretty obvious. That's why he isn't even in this comparison...this thread is about who is 2nd best

Yeah but in the U-20 WC he didn't do anything with Brazil when everyone expected him to be one of the U-20 WC young stars, still this doesn't prove anything but I don't trust/like Pato.
Of all the young promises I've seen, Aguero is the best one imo.
