I think our summer will go one of two ways. Either, (and I'm pretty sure this will happen) we'll sign no one of note and Wenger will talk about this being a young squad and that 'soon' they'll come of age.

    Or...

We'll actually start to try and address the flaws our squad has.

If I were coach I'd certainly be looking to bring in a keeper - not a young one, but an international - someone like Akinfeev, Ochoa or Kameni.

Then I'd sell Senderos to the highest bidder and bring in a centre back that doesn't look like a rabbit in the headlights whenever he receives the ball. Someone like Jarque.

The area for me that most drastically need inforcing though is on the wings, where I'll be expecting Wenger to invest heavily in a top class player. Someone like Afellay would do nicely. We've also been linked with Ben Arfa, but I'm less sure.

Would also like to see Bendtner leave. Its clear no one in the squad likes him.

Imo, all of Torres' 29 goals this season have been lucky.

Why exactly is that? (If anyone knows).

First Ade lamping him on the pitch and then him celebrating a goal all by himself, SMH.

Funny, plenty of Arsenal fans this season have said that they're unimpressed with failure to win anything and failure to buy established, experienced players and failure to actually produce young players with loyalty to the club and all the other failings Wenger manifests.

And the proof is right here on this forum, if only you'd cared to look instead of making massive pronouncements after being here five seconds.

Only those from opposition clubs that want to see the back of him are making a big deal over the trophyless seasons.

Fine, I'll ask you the same question I ask the other Arsenal fans - how long are you willing to go without a trophy for given you are the third wealthiest club in the league and supposedly have one of the best managers?

To be honest Ben Arfa is exactly the signing you don't need. Just another young gifted player who's a few years from his peak.

Well he got in that fight with Adebayor and I think Ade is one of our more popular players.

Even before that, he was supposed to be a 'difficult' person. I imagine he's just incredibly arrogrant as well as socially awkward.

He wouldn't pass to Benzema in the game against us, so you are right there.

What about Modric or is he too central?

You claimed the Arsenal fans were happy with not winning trophies. I pointed you to some that aren't happy, thus proving your generalisation wrong. If you meant the majority, you should have said the majority.

Newbie who I look forward to pwning a few times before he gives up and fucks off back to an all Arsenal forum where everyone sits around talking about that good touch Bendtner/Hleb did last night that led to absolutely nothing but showed he's got good technique so must prove he's a wonderful footballer who only hasn't won or done anything due to bad luck and a conspiracy of referees.

  • No. Didn't have much choice, we don't have the depth to go for every trophy and at the time we were still top of the league and good for the CL.

  • Selling Diarra in January

  • Not signing anyone in the January transfer window

  • The injury to Eduardo

  • Gallas crying at the end of the Birmingham game

  • Adebayor getting his hair cut

  • Luck with injuries

  • Referring decisions

  • Team selection, e.g. Senderos at CB

You clearly don't speak for Arsene because he wanted to win it so badly that he put on Eduardo, Fabregas and Aliadebayor to try to rescue the game.

So what you mean is, the club did/do care, but you'll pretend that they don't to save face despite all the evidence pointing to the contrary.
