Who will have a better season...Arsenal or Liverpool..?

I have a feeling that next season will be a bit closer at the top, but I still think Chelsea and Un*ted will finish 1st/2nd. Looking at the "where do you think you'll finish" thread, Arsenal fans seem optimistic, despite rumours linking Henry to Barca, and the fact that they're unlikely to spend as much as Liverpool this summer. Still, last season Arsenal had some big injuries, and they're an attacking midfielder away from being a formidable team.

Liverpool are strong, but without some major signings this summer, I think we will continue to linger in the shadows. Apart from being very solid and organised, I really don't think we have much technical ability, creativity and flair. That's not the main problem though...We can't finish for $h!t. I think we have more rebuilding to do than Arsenal, because they already have a very balanced team.

So, who will have a better season?

Liverpool

Difficult to say at this point, lets see who Pool sign and Arsenal keep first.
Right now i would say Arsenal but wouldn't put money on it

Manchester United

With the given lineups : Arsenal obviously

I won't vote until we know the squad for both teams. If they roughly stay as they are, then I think we will be ahead.


If the teams stay as they are and Sp*rs buy a good defense and goalkeeper, then IMO they could challenge the weakest team of the 'biG4'. Although for this to happen they will probably have to get knocked out of the cups while the weakest biG4 team has injuries and is still in at least one of the CL/FA cup.

I really need to wait until I see the signings from this Summer until I pass judgement on both clubs, with Henry's departure imminent I think both clubs are on par with each other. Therefore it will depend on the quality of the signings brought into each club. Liverpool have the money whilst I think we have slightly more appeal for foreign signings, expect from Spain of course.

As ever I am optimistic of our chances for a title fight but it may be a possibility that the best we can hope for is 3rd place.

To say that there's a 0% chance that he will go, when AC Milan and Barcelona have both expressed their interests, and neither Henry or Arsenal have dismissed them, is just plain idiocy. I'd say there's about a 60% chance he will leave, and if you disagree with me, fair enough.

I will vote at the ends of the transfer window, at the moment I would say Arsenal.

I think there is 15% chance that he will leave, Henry is too much of a diva, to play second fiddle to Ronaldinho and Eto.

Hence, I predict Henry will leave after one more season.

On the contrary - after a good season for Arsenal where people realise how good he is again the whole of Europe will want him.

if liverpool get a top class forward (tevez, villa, eto'o), than pool which is a bit unlikely. they have lots of talent but lack a goalscoring forward.

aside from that i think arsenal, especially if they get a player to score the goals ljunberg used to and keep henry
