Berlusconi wins elections Empty Berlusconi wins elections

What is the impact of this on football? Well, Berlusconi has his fingers in every pie. The man, it seems, owns Italy. Will collective TV rights now be scrapped? Will Melandri be fired? Will taxes for footballers be cut (Berlu has long been a fan of the low artist tax offered in Spain)?

I think Berlusconi will retune the TV rights so that the big 4 can get all the benefits. Evil or Very Mad I know the legislation has already passed, so this could be ugly. I think, however, Berlu will get his way.

I've always been ambivalent towards Berlusconi:

    Berlu for Milan:

    cheers

    Berlu as a politician:

    Neutral

I hope he does nothing to change the collective rights agreement in place from 2010... the smaller clubs really need the money!!!! And they are going to fight, may even refuse to play Serie A if Berlu tries his underhand tactics.

What you can expect is any law he has already broken and caught will now be "modified" to excuse him... he has done that before.

Also expect an official campaign targeting Moratti and Inter... Moratti better ensure that all the t's are crossed in our financial statements!!! I just don't trust berlu, he can sink to any depth.

Actually despite what the say...Moratti and Berlu have common business interests (not least telecommunications). I think that you're right however. Berlu will take revenge, and, yes, he can sink to new lows.
