The latest gossip from El Soplo

This summer also I think La Liga will maintain its rate of half the managers or more changing, so let's use this thread for that as well.

According to Marca, Manzano (Mallorca manager) to Valencia.

    Tomorrow's rumour: Sven to Valencia

I still think Marcelino (and Garay) will end up at Valencia. It may of course depend on Valencia maintaining their league status and/or Racing qualifying for the CL, but there is little doubt that Valencia is the bigger challenge/project.

There is no reason why that can't be one of Europe's biggest powerhouses. They have the fan base, players, stadium and money.

Villa: offered a 5 year contract with wages of 5 million euros per year by Madrid

Real Madrid are prepared to pay big for Valencia striker David Villa.

Marca says Real's opening bid is a massive £22 million for the Spain international, whose agent Jose Luis Tamargo has already received a contract offer worth £3.5 million-a-year over four years.

The deal offered by Real would make Villa among the highest paid players at the club, with only Iker Casillas and skipper Raul on better wages.

    5m€ is too much.

I think that is the reason why he would not have success in Italy. I think an out-and-out winger like Joaquin could do well in England but there's too much rain for somebody like Joaquin. He would be Reyes part-2 I think.

I think Joaquin's style should be suited to most leagues. He takes the odd dive, but in reality you'd be hard pushed to find a more powerful winger. He's fast, strong, skillful, beat's players for fun. His end product is inconsistent however, and he's a confidence player. He's 26 now, but seems like he's never going to be as good as his talent should afford. Bit like Vicente really (thoguh for different reasons)

I would rather him then Quaresma because he has showed for a long time that he wanted to come and everything always seemed to be set every year but it never happened. he is also in a good age.
