Take out those 3 years 2003/2004 - 2005/2006 and thats consistently in the quarter finals every year for the last 12 seasons, 3 times in the semis, two in the finals, 1 as winners.

That would still put us at the very least always in the top 8 teams in Europe, most of the times alot higher.

He was one of our best players though last season. Probably second after Ronaldo.

I don't think that there is any other country in the world that hates a true legend, one of the best players of all time, still the most capped German international ever (150 caps) etc. pp. so much like Germany does in Lothar's case.

That is what i thought aswell. i think he was just as important as ronaldo though. Man utd had been in a slump in central for a couple of years and they really needed him and he delivered. to be honest i thought he was done for so it was great surprise to see him come back in somewhat different role.
