the problem is that nobody knows how many games the players get

Germany will certainly start with Klose and probably Gomez but Kuranyi has really set more than a claim to starting as well

Poldi was the old darling of Loew

I suppose there will be A LOT of rotation

nobody could argue that Gomez , Kuranyi or Poldi are not deserving starters

chances that either one will end up as the Cup's top goal-scorer are therefore getting smaller

agree that Gomez wants to stay at Stuttgart

but what happens , if he tops the charts at the EUros

offers will come in from every big club in the world

and Veh will think: wait a minute, the lad is good , but for 50 million Euro I could buy Ronaldinho + Henry + the salaries

Quite well, I should think. They want to start easing him into the first team over the course of the coming season. Until now, he's been in the squad for a few games, when he wasn't playing for the second team.

That Manuel Fischer is great talent. He was freescoring at the U17 Euros two years ago. (Great squad with players like Marin, Kroos and the Bender twins btw)
I have hoped for more games of him in the Bundesliga at least when Gomez was injured.
He didn´t play very often for the reserves too, just eleven games in the Regionalliga Süd.

The U17 of 2006 was indeed a great team, lots of very technically gifted player, can't await to see them play more often in the Bundesliga.

Have you seen more of the Bender twins lately? How are they doing?

From the Mannschaft perspective, I think that the most interesting phase will be after Euro 2008. Löw will need to make the transition after the tournament, give all these exciting young players a chance and form a new team out of them. We will keep quite a few of our current key players, however, I believe that the 2010 WC team will look considerably different than the current side.

Most of the guys mentioned are too young for the Euros, but won't be in 2010.

The Bender twins have done well for 1860.
Lars is a regular and Sven has also played very often.

But they look very tired and exhausted in the recent weeks.
It´s their first season and they are not used to the intensity.

Both have to play the elite round of the U 19 Euro qualification this month.

This team simply have to qualify for the Euros and of course for the World Cup next year.
So much quality. Schorch, Pezzoni, Bender twins, Vrancic, Gebhard, Fischer, Choupo-Moting, Naki. Even Marin and Kroos could play for them.

For Gomez to leave Stuttgart this summer already, two criteria have to be fulfilled. First, Stuttgart doesn't qualify for Europe (UEFA Cup), which is not unlikely. And second, he has an excellent Euro 2008 so the big (foreign) clubs are willing to pay the very high price Stuttgart will most likely demand. Not unlikely either.

Still, I expect him to stay another year in Stuttgart, and leave 2009 latest.
