Chelsea are set to win the race to sign Portuguese star Jose Bosingwa after agreeing a deal with Porto.

The Blues are understood have struck a deal worth 20.5million
euros (£16.2 million) with Porto and the player has flown to London for
    talks and a medical.
The player's agent Jorge Mendes has accompanied his client as Chelsea look to seal the deal in the next 48 hours.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa have all made moves
for the 25-year-old in recent months but it appears Chelsea have held
them off to land the highly-rated full-back.
    More to follow...

He's quite fast , havent seen him beaten one on one too often ,quite attacking too.

Didn't Ferreira have a great reputation when he signed, and Del Horno.. Chelsea break full backs.

Are Chelsea going to keep Ferreira or Belletti? and wasn't that £9m mystery man Ivanovic a RB or is he more of an all-round defender?

it always seemed to me that Grant didn't rate Belletti, hardly seems to have had a kick in recent months. defo a Mourinho signing and one you wonder about in terms of behind the scenes arguing which may have been partially responsible for the ultimate outcome

Belletti will leave for some Spanish mid-table side probably, with Ferreira staying as backup/rotation for Bosingwa.

Berbatov looks a possibility. Let's wait and see on Drogba, probably one of the Milan clubs will sign him but there's no real rumours coming out.

I'm thinking Sporting should make any future deals with these 'Blues'; they pay well over what they should... I like that.

20.5 for Bosingwa could mean something in the high 30s for Veloso...Makelele isn't getting any younger.

    (two seasons from now..)
