Our manager hasn't even bought anyone, so how do we know what his policy is? Rafa on the other we know thinks success is built on having legions of half decent fullbacks.

    I'd say about £9millon, if they're lucky.

Petrov, for all the excitement he creates, just doesn't score enough goals.

He's going to be 29 soon, and for a player who relies on pace a lot, it's not a good sign.

He was always like that, even at Atletico. 1 goal in 38 games or something was his record there...that's why I've never rated him as highly as some others seem to do in England.

Pierre, let's not be silly here.

if you're speaking about Kalou, Young, Bentley, heck even Lennon, I'd let you get away with this, but Shaun "my 1st touch is a 10-yard push" Wright-Phillips?!

    Behave.

SWP has a hard shot and great pace, very little else. He's like a smaller version of Ryan Babel, though he can shoot from the right side as well.

I'd agree that Ronaldo has morphed into Thierry Henry rather than the flair player he was when he 1st burst on the scene, but I think the fact that he's had to become like this is a sad indictment of where the games headed, and not necessarily him.

I don't - because I know that people laugh at the person when they can't beat the argument.

If I said he was better that would be stupid.

If I say he's a better dribbler its because the ball sticks to his feet like glue when he dribbles and he can slalom his way past two defenders before :

    a) being blocked off by a bigger defender

    b) Scuffing/dragging the ball wide of the post

    c) Crossing the ball into the stands

ronaldo just gets his head down and runs but he scores goals.

That's modern football - but I'd pay £350 to watch McAnuff 23 times a season rather than whatever United pay to see ronaldo anyday <Ale>
