Will it? Although a very good player for this season and next, he's still a 27 year old pace merchant, and using guess work i would say that the fee will be around £10m and he will be on something like 70k a week, with a 5 year deal. So that is a total of £27.5m for a player that will start declining in a couple of years. Not a great deal from a business point of view.
You wanted an opinion, well there it is.

You used to rate him highly, Kimmy

Sold for £21m and bought back for £8.5m that would be decent business.
Same opinion here from Everton's perspective, would like to see him on Goodison, Moyes tried to get him, but probably offered him much much lower wage... probably one being closer to "reasonable category".Kimbo wrote:Hip Hip Heurelho wrote:Kimbo wrote:Sgoater1 wrote:I dont care if nobody else cares....it will be fucking amazing !

I do, relatively highly anyway. I wouldn't mind him at Newcastle, if his wages weren't so high. Definitely better than Lennon and Milner.

He is 26 not 27 ! tbh you can look as players wages and transfer fees together and do that with a vast majority of players and think it doesnt make great financial sense but you have to look at over the next 4 or so years what he could help us acheive. If he helps us get into the champs then its worth mega bucks. PLUS he came through our Academy, we sold him for £21m and if we get him back it is for £8.5m so we have made a £12.5m profit.....which covers his wages.
Manchester City can exclusively reveal that Shaun Wright-Phillips has rejoined the Club.
The fans’ favourite agreed personal terms after completing a medical this morning and joins on a four-year contract following an undisclosed deal being reached with Chelsea.
Shaun is back at the Club after moving to Stamford Bridge just over three years ago and on his return today he told mcfc.co.uk: "Obviously I'm delighted to come back to City and I just can't wait to get started again."
Manager Mark Hughes added of his exciting signing: "I've always admired him and he's certainly been a target of mine since I came to the football club."
"To actually secure the deal and bring Shaun back home is a fantastic coup for us and I'm sure the supporters will be just as excited as we are to have him back at Manchester City."
We'll have more quotes from Wright-Phillips later and it is expected that Shaun will be presented to the media at a press conference at the City of Manchester Stadium tomorrow.
