He had a shite season at Stuttgart, but did have his moments in the championship winning season of 2006/2007.

Doubt it, most likely Simão.
Unfortunatly

I was thinking just that. Strong and organised defence. It's possible that they were playing it rather more safe today - as the away team.blutgraetsche wrote:borocooper wrote:Barnetta = idiot.
Indeed. Stupid foul, exactly what the Czechs wanted.
This Czech side reminds me more of Greece 2004 than Czech Republic 2004. Probably they have no choice after losing Rosicky. The defence is their strenght, and they play accordingly.

Be interesting to see how Swiss respond to this. I think it's a good job they've got Turkey next, if it was Portugal I'd fear for them going straight out, but a win against Turkey and they'll have a shot.
But overall, neither team impressed me in attack. For Czech, they were just slow and unimaginative with Koller, and just counter-attacked for the majority. For Swiss, with Frei injured, they have Streller -who looked useless and Yakin -who was pretty wasteful. Behrami and Barnetta may be promising, but neither got into this game at all.
Btw, who got the assist? was it Jankulovski (fingers crossed for my ff team )

There was a few scrappy moments when Swiss were chasing the game, but overall they didn't look under much pressure - although this may be down to Swiss impotent attacking as much as good defendingZizinhohakker wrote:debaser wrote:I was thinking just that. They were very chaotic at times. Cech was furious with his partners. He was in fact their best defence. They were also rather lucky than organised.

I haven't turned it on yet. I think I'll be waiting for just before kick off.
Hopefully just as David Pleat says good evening to me
