Because he likes confrontation and in fact feels threatened by them, the confidence of the win over Portugal has just re-instated his arrogant vision that Germany will stroll through the tournament.

I've noticed many people have commented on the tactics used by Germany, but i didn't see much in the way of 'tactics' i saw the Germans were worried about their opponents strengths so flooded the midfield in an attempt to break up their passing and make it difficult to find space.

These IMO aren't so much tactics as plugging holes, theres no revelation in the tactic to exploit Portguals weak goalkeeper and defence (with their total lack of height) and to use counter the space in behind Portugals roaming full backs, this is just standard tactics.

I think Holland, because of their more resilent defence, and what has proven to be a lethal combination up front infront of goal, prove to be a whole different kettle of fish, and Germany will not be able to 'pick' Holland off in the same fashion, some real consideration of tactics will need to be considered, at a guess they'll play for penalties - oooh the imagination
