Podolski on the bench is and always has been a waste of his talent and it stunts his growth.

I like Podolski, but I think he's a bit too young and inexperienced to be first choice as the sole striker in our system. And it doesn't make sense signing him as backup since we already have Bojan for that job. Perhaps for the LF role, but then I'd rather wait till we exhaust all possibilities of Arshavin
