    Agree with Lrd here.

For the two group games he pretty much did everything you could expect.

Against Germany he wasn't fantastic but still inadvertantly set up a goal.

Its MILES better than anything Toni, or indeed all of the Italian squad bar Buffon, achieved.

Callidad's bias shining through here. Very Happy

Ronaldo was as bad as Gomez.

Inistea has a chance of winning the Player of the Tournament. Laughing

Iniesta has been one of Spain's worst players.

He was almost as bad as torres for fucking up in the box yesterday. Twice he was put through, twice he miscontrolled! He had that air shot as well.

Park, it's a shame you've turned into a WUM like lrd...but your prerogative. You both think I'm biased then fine, stop reading/responding to my posts. I think you're both complete pillocks, but you don't see me stalking each and everyone of your posts.

Nuno Gomes went off in the first and second games and both times Ronaldo went into the middle. He pretty much ended up in the middle in the Germany game as well. As for his MOTM performance, Deco should have won that as most people thought he should have. I think he was incredibly selfish this tournament; had a shoot on sight policy, and struggled to beat his man. And didn't provide a whole lot of service to the frontman. As usual, he lost the ball a lot too and would whine rather than try to win the ball back. If you think he had a good tournament then fine, but I thought he was disappointing considering how it was going to be 'his tournament'. I knew that was never going to be the case anyway. Toni & Gomez didn't get anywhere near that hype.

As for my Iniesta comment, if you'd bother to read my post, you see that I said he isn't deserving of winning the awar (das with Cesc/Silva/Xavi), and you'd also have seen that I have said he has had a very disappointing tournament in my other posts. But he surprisingly won the official MOTM award yesterday, and along with Silva/Cesc/Xavi (who are currently equally as undeserving) happen to put in a MOTM performance in the final, they may well be in with a shout in UEFA's award. What's so controversial or 'biased' about that comment?

I've already said who I THINK should win it, but what I think doesn't count, I was just suggesting what UEFA might do.

I think Iniesta would need to score about 8 goals in the final, including one off of his C0ck to have any chance of winning player of the tournament. Even then it'd probably be undeserved!

I don't mind bias so much when people know they are doing it - Otto, Puro etc. It's when people claim to be completely neutral is when I think it becomes completely ridiculous.

Ronaldo has no where near been as good as he can be in this tournament, even though he was involved in nearly every Portugal goal. To compare him with Gomez though is just laughable.

I have an opinion, and just because that opinion doesn't fall nicely into your narrow line of thought, doesn't necessarily make me biased. Of course, if you convince yourself that I will 'include Iniesta in every team of the round, tournament, world, etc' then you reaching such a conclusion is hardly surprising. In case you are actually unaware; I have yet to include Iniesta/Xavi/Silva in any of my teams (despite quite a few people putting all of them them in their team at one point or another so far)

Out of interest, where do I claim to be completely neutral anyway?

Ronaldo actually reminded me on Ronnie's performance at the 2006 World cup.
He was so hyped (deservely) after Barca won the double, that everyone thought this is going to be his tournament.
He was $h!t compared to the games in the CL and the Spanish League.
    And then his downfall started.
    Ronaldo did the same.
Everyone expected that this will be his tournament...but guess what...it didn't.
Who knows, this might be his downfall as well.
Sell him to RM before it's too late. Very Happy

If he goes to Los Burros he will fail and his career can only go down, if he stays and commits to the cause to Manchester United a team that probably is starting a new dynasty in English football he will become close to a Legend.

Arshavin's been excellent every time I've seen him in the last year or more (against England he was outstanding).

Funny, all I remember saying in that game was that I expected Barca to get comfortably beaten, if not hammered, but was then incredibly disappointed after the games by the way Utd and Ronaldo played.

Maybe I did say I was neutral, but it would have been in the context of that game after someone (possibly you) probably accused me of being biased after being critical of United's performance. Watching a game as a neutral, doesn't in anyway imply that I am some sort of netural arbiter on all footbal matters however. That is of course nonsense. Anyone that supports a football team, and actually has an opinion on something (rather than sit on the fence) will always have some degree of bias. Some may be less biased than others (i.e Cesc Soler, Sheff Gunner) but they are not 'completley neutral' either on everything football.

I think Ronaldo is overrated. Whether correct/incorrect, or objective/subjective is open to interpretation. Certainly, I have no irrational hatred for him (which might be the case if he was playing for Rangers/Celtic/Hearts). However, he he doesn't; he is Portuguese & plays for Utd, teams that have no relationship with any of my football allegiances.

Thought Iniesta was good yesterday same should be said of the Spanish midfield. He was making some good runs and intelligent passes, any chance he gets if he finds himself in the box and takes it should be a bonus, he is looking to create first. He seems to be playing like a withdrawn winger, not necessarily raiding the flanks and crossing the ball in, but cutting inside and passing to feet still he will cross if possible, also switching with Silva which has been a success so far. As we all know he’s a versatile and intelligent player. I don’t think we should judge him solely on his finishing.
