Maduro is really shite, he's playing a position in which he should win balls; in stead of that he loses them.

Offside goal for Ivory Coast, so close!
New Zealand player already sent off in the game against China.
Messi scors for Argentina, who lead 1-0 at the break.

Re: Olympic football tournament
Nigeria - Holland is a more than decent match to watch
Both sides have been dangerous.
Holland will grow stronger with each substitution, but the Nigerians will probably have stamina (and 4-5 years ) on us.
Maduro is so Cr@p that you could probably use him as fertilizer
De Guzman is playing very well....but he's ineffective and doesn't track back, he'll be our make or break player though : we'll score through an action of him, or him losing the ball / his man will cost us a goal.
Dirk Marcellis deserves a thumbs up for that first half, just like the Nigerian #14

Don't know why the hell Makaay has been taken off, means we've lost our most dangerous weapon
Sibon is even slower than Maduro ffs !

maybe somebody could tell his teammates to support him a little more... Some hardly move, players should make themselves available.Axeslammer wrote:De Guzman wrote:Why have Holland changed captain the second half?

Aguero has a goal ruled out for offside. Correct decision, although the football from Argentina was very good to open up the Ivorian defence.

Completely ridiculous sending off
The ref whistled any time oneone went down anyway : Bozo, f@ck off back to Chile
Holland was completely Cr@p in the second half.
We should have brought Nijland instead of Sibon, my gran over Maduro and Hieriej/Janmaat over Zuiverloon.

4 red cards in 8 matches then unless I'm mistaken, rather poor display from referee's in general, hopefully this isn't occuring as a result of a FIFA directive.

well done Ivory Coast, played very well.
What odds at least half that team being swapped for ak47's by arsenal in the next 4 hours?
the guy up front with the extra tight hairband will defo end up in prem.

Red cards have an even bigger impact than in normal tournies due to the small squad (18 ) and the quick succession of matches

Re: Olympic football tournament
Well since Makaay had a painful foot, I would have stuck Babel alone up front & let Bakkal play off him (got to do with what's available, unfortunately your Gran isn't in the squad), what really pissed me off is in the second half Nigeria were a tad better, so we could play on the break, so we stuck Babel up front anyway with Sibon playing attacking mid (which of course he can't). De Guzman behind Babel would have been an option too, with some lefty playing right mid.Axeslammer wrote:De Guzman wrote:91' Sno sent off. straight red for foot over the ball. Still 0-0.

Dong Secures Draw For China
China 1-1 New Zealand
China and New Zealand played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in front of a capacity crowd in Shenyang in their opening Olympic match. Jeremy Brockie handed the guests the lead against the run of play just after half time, but substitute Dong Fangzhou replied for China as the game ebbed towards injury time.
